Is it true JAG ended due to David James Elliot having a contrct dispute with producers?

Howdy,

Well, his contract with the producers of "JAG" ended and he signed a new contract with ABC. I guess ABC made him a better offer. Whether you can call that a contract dispute with his "JAG" employers, I don't know. Think he was just tired of playing the same character for ten years.
