About Nancy Pratt
Expertise
My main area of expertise is the character of Admiral A. J. Chegwidden portrayed by actor John M. Jackson. I created and maintain "The Admiral Fact Book," which covers all information known about the Admiral so far from the show. However, I have watched JAG since the first episode and been involved in on-line JAG Fandom for several years and believe I can answer most general questions about the show.

Experience
I run the John M. Jackson Admiration Society, the unofficial fan club of actor John M. Jackson, and maintain its website. I also was involved in putting on the first ever JAG Convention and then went on to found the JAGFanFest - both west and east coast events. I have met almost all the actors as well as many of the writers, directors, and production staff. I occasionally write JAG fanfic, and I am the editor of The Jackson Journal, the on-line newsletter of the JMJAS.

Question
I have been a fan of Jag since 1995. I have a few questions. I am a big fan of DJE also JMJ, PL and CB. Was the beef between realy huges bewteen DJE and DB. I have read only what DB said not much from DJE? DOes the cast from JAg receive any monies from the sales of DVD and the reruns? Does JMJ have any new show on a weekly  base?  Thanks and God bless.

Answer
Hi Cheri,

Let's see . . .  not much has been said about the beef between DJE and DPB, but from what little I know, it seems as though it was pretty serious.  Do you remember the end of the 8th season when Harm and Mac crashed in South America?  That season ender was set up so that season 9 could potentially end with Harm having been killed.  It was not at all certain DJE would return for season 9.  And had JAG gone on to an 11th season, it would definitely have been without DJE.  His contract was not going to be renewed.  That sounds to me like there were some serious differences between them.

I don't know for sure, but I believe the cast would receive what are called "residuals" from reruns and dvd sales.  I believe that is standard and that their contracts are structured to reflect what kind of payments they are to receive.

JMJ does not currently have a new show on a weekly basis.  His last regular role was as Booth's boss at the FBI on the first season of "Bones."  But he has not appeared since that first season.  He's done a few guest spots on some shows, and he was supposed to be in the movie "Invasion" with Nicole Kidman.  But there was some talk that when they re-edited the movie after initial audience testing, his role was cut.  He was playing the President of the United States.  Unfortunately, the movie blew in and out of theaters around me so fast, I didn't have a chance to see it to find out for myself, so now I'm waiting for it to come out on dvd to check out.  JMJ also did a couple of stage plays since he left JAG.  It's hard to find out what he's doing because many of his roles are uncredited at his request.  Makes it frustrating for a fan.  <lol>

Have a great Thanksgiving!

- Nancy
