About Shelley Expertise I can answer any questions about the trial and allegations. Also anything about his personal life, family, relationships etc. are fair game and anything I don't know I will try my best to research and find an answer for you.
Experience I have been a fan for only 2 years but I have read extensively about him. I read all the transcripts and court documents from the trial. I also have some sources close to people in Michael's family and current management team.
Education/Credentials My concentration is in social work and also in psychology, but I have also studied neuroscience, anthropology, biology, religion, and sociology among other subjects which gives me a deep understanding of human nature on which to draw in order to interpret Michael's behavior.
Question Hi, I wanted to get my hair like Michael Jackson's. Over the next few years I want to get a majority of his hair styles from the BAD era- the present. I'm a light skinned black man, I have a good facial structure for the hair, and it looks to me that my hair texture is right for this; I've been told that my hair is not like normal African hair, people say it looks more Indian textured but its just curly, and when I look in the mirror it looks more greasy and shiny than most African hair. I currently have a small afro I've been growing my hair since about this past march, which was 4 months ago. How much should it coast to get these hair styles? And if you have any info on how to get and maintain that type of hair can you inform me, or show me someone who can. Also, I don't want to have my hair like an afro, so what are some good hair styles that would be good for me, that won't damage my hair, until I get MJ like hair. Your help is very much appreciated.
Answer The cost would depend greatly on where you live, what type of salon you go to, the quality of the hairdresser etc. I suggest you pull out the phone book and start calling the salons in your area and inquire as to how much it might cost at each place.
As far as maintaining hair and not damaging your own- remember that Michael often wore weaves and wigs, so it was not actually his hair we were seeing. Especially during the bad era, Michael had a great deal of difficulty growing his hair back after suffering such horrible burns in the Pepsi accident, so he often wore a weave to cover the back of his head where his own hair wouldn't grow. And during much of the 90s Michael often wore a wig because it was much easier and faster than trying to get his own hair to cooperate. Especially when he has been wearing his hair straight, trying to get his own hair to be that straight would require a great deal of chemical processing and be very damaging so it's much easier for him to just wear a wig.
So you may want to check out what places around you sell wigs or would put in a weave for you, but a good wig or weave can cost a great deal, some celebrities even pay many thousands of dollars for a good hair weave.
