Jacksonville Jaguars - Keenan McCardell

Expert: Scott Hylton - 2/25/2001

Question
Scott,
A fantasy question. Protection deadline approaching, and have to pick one from McCardell, Boston, and Chrebet. Leaning towards Boston-plenty of junk TD's late in game, and long ones at that(performance league with bonuses for yardage and big scores). He also appears to be blossoming now. Would you keep Keenan (or Chrebet for that matter) before him? Ideas really appreciated. Cheers,
Tony Smith.

Answer
Tony,

I think that going with Boston would be the correct move. While it appears that Keenan will be back the Jags, I would think that he is third, maybe fourth, in terms of TD production next year. Jimmy Smith and Fred Taylor will be the main guys, followed perhaps by tight ends Kyle Brady and Damon Jones (returning off of injuries). Keenan will have share of receptions and yards, but I feel the TD numbers will be low.

As for Chrebet, I have never been a big fan of his, and therefore can't help you much on that one. I do feel that Boston will be the leader amongst these three in TD's.

Hope this helps.
