Jacksonville Jaguars - Parking at Alltel Stadium

Expert: Scott Hylton - 9/24/2007

Question
QUESTION: Hi Scott,

I have tickets for the Colts game on 22nd October. As it is a night kickoff I would like to know how to get out of the Stadium and away from Jacksonville as soon as possible. We are visiting from the UK and will be staying the night at St Augustine so we need to leave on the I95 South. Where is the best place to park to enable us to make a quick getaway?

I have a map of the parking lots but it does not help that much!

Many thanks

Jeremy

ANSWER: Jeremy,
Are you wanting to park at/near the stadium and "tailgate" before the game or a you willing to park outside the downtown area and take a shuttle bus?

If you want to park near the stadium, I would recommend parking on the east side of the stadium and using the Hart Bridge to escape after the game. There are lots run by the Jags as well as private lots and parking in people yards. Expect to pay $10-$30, depending on location.

If you don't mind riding a shutle bus, there are several options, one near downtown, right off I-95 ($5) and one near Butler Blvd and US 1, again just off I-95, south of town headed toward St. Augustine ($10).
Here is link to the shuttle service:

Please feel free to ask any follow-up questions and I can provide additional information. Hope you enjoy the game (unless you are a Colts fan!!).

QUESTION: Hi Scott,

That's great. I would use a shuttle but they only run a couple of hours before the game (I've been told on the Jags website) and we want to experience the whole thing!! I guessed my route would have been over the Hart Bridge but cannot see the ramp that I would have to use (even with full zoom on Google maps). Which of the lots would be best (don't care how much as I have already spent $800 on four tickets (halfway line)).

Great win yesterday at Mile High - saw it on Sky Sports live!!

Cheers

Jeremy

Answer
If you will email me your email address, I can go into more detail, just don't have time at the moment. We will be tailgating with a group of friends and would like to invite to come and join us, if that is something you might be interested in. Let me know and I can also give you more parking info.

My email is rushnjag@yahoo.com

Scott
