Question
1985 xj6 none of the guages are working ie temp oil tach  asked around everyone seems to think fuses but none are blown  car has been sitting for about two years

Answer
Hi Henry,
The only thing all the instruments have in common is the #4 fuse in the main fuse panel (15 amp) You need to test the fuse with a test light or a volt meter with the ignition on. check both sides of the fuse to see that both sides are hot with the key on. Looking at a fuse is no way to tell if it is good or bad.
