Jaguar Repair/no fuel delivery

Hello Howard
1977 xj6
ZScd 175 water choke
After RandR leaky carbs no fuel delivery. Fine before that.
Fuses in box replaced.
HotWired pumps.
Fuel delivery.
No power to wire.
Hot wired inertia switch.
Right side engine cranks.
No fuel
Left side fuel delivery
No crank
Test light
No power to either wire.
Fuel tank changeover switch.
Fuel gauge responds.
Test light however finds no hot wire but diagram indicated two
One for gauge sender
One for L/R fuel pumps
Purchased Leyland factory manual xj6 1977- on..
Also a color coded wiring diagram
Neither portrays the fuel pump relay switch you described.

Hi David,

I don't have a diagram and just guessed that it has a relay as I never seen a car with an electric pump that didn't have a fuel pump relay. Take a photo or scan the wiring diagram in your manual and I will see if I can help diagnose the problem.
