About Sienna
Expertise
I live on the west coast of the island, in the sugar cane valley of Westmoreland parish, just outside the beach resort town of Negril, and will be happy to assist with questions that would cover the areas of the west and southwest coasts....areas such as Negril, Whitehouse, Treasure Beach. I can help withquestions pertaining to Jamaican culture, food, places of interest, your general hotel location in regards to activities or excursions in your area, whether you're in a villa, resort, or small independent hotel. I am however, NOT a travel agent, and cannot be of help making reservations at any all-inclusive properties.

Experience
I moved here from California nine years ago, to live here with my husband, a Jamaican....his home is now my 'adopted home.' Before moving here I visited Jamaica as often as possible, staying in tourist towns and remote 'bush country'. We have a small micro-business, offering tours for people who wish to go "off property" and choose do so in a more personal atmophere, rather than on large tour buses with 30-50 others. We go to all of the customary tourist attraction spots, and also offer some destinations you will not find offered through the hotels or large tour companies. We believe that the people of Jamaica, both adults and children, have much to offer visitors and we strive to involve members of any community we pass through so that you can interact with them directly. Our goal is to have you enjoy your outing..to have fun while learning something new.

Question
Hi i am staying in sandals whitehouse for a week on 18th November 2008 and sandals montego bay for a week immediately thereafter. what kind of weather can i expect and what kind of temperature can we expect.

Many thanks.

Answer
Good morning Therese!

Two weeks in Jamaica...what a nice chance to unwind and pamper yourselves, with the additional perk of learning about two different coast lines and surrounding communities.

I have absolutely no clue as to the fall season's weather forecast...this year has been so unusual in the way of higher than normal rainfall and cooler temperatures.  November technically is still inside the "official hurricane months" though I've not experienced one in November since moving here.

November can either turn out to be a time of overcast skies and day time or night time rains....or it could turn out that there will be little rain, sunny skies, not-at-all hot day time temps, cool nights, no humidity.

Temperatures usually fall into the low 70's to mid 80's..perfect for lightweight clothing that doesn't take up a lot of room in the suitcase.

The weather while at Whitehouse might be drier than when at MoBay......

As you get closer to your vacation month, or even starting now if you want to keep the anticipation and planning going, you might want to check out the following websites / message boards.....this first one deals with Sandals Whitehouse = http://chris-n-cheryl.com/v-web/bulletin/bb

And the second is Montego Bay oriented in general =
