Jamaica - Negril, Jamaica

Expert: Jennifer Byrne - 10/28/2009

Question
I am going to be taking a trip with my company to Negril and I was wondering how expensive the night life is. I was reading a couple of other questions that are similar to this one, but the response didn't specify whether it was U.S. currency or Jamaican... How much are drinks on average? What are some of the good hot spots? Any areas we should avoid? Appreciate your time and help!

Thanks!

Answer
Hi Jesse,

Nightlife is relatively inexpensive here. You'll find lots of cool beach bars where beer and liquor is relatively average in cost. Figure around $3US for beer and $7US for liquor. Margaritaville and Ricks are the top spots here. Your hotel will most likely offer a trip to the local hotspots within their tour options.

Thanks!

Jennifer
