Subject: Problems going back in Japan?

Question
Hi! I was 5 years in Japan and my visa was expired. They send me back in my country and give me 5 years restriction. My question is will i have any problems after 5 years when I will enter in Japan again?

Answer
Hi,

There are a lot of variables here...if you are in Japan to visit
and it looks like it is just that, then generally there should be no
problems. But if you show up in Narita right after your restriction is
over, it might draw a lot more scrutiny, and if there is anything they
deem strange or unusual about your perceived intentions, there could be
trouble. A lot also depends on your nationality, etc. etc.  It might be good to take some letters from friends in Japan inviting you over just in case you are stopped, to help prevent trouble.

Best regards,

Robert
