Question Can you tell me if there is a train from Narita airport to Kobe, and what is the cost...I have a flight booked to Kobe but if the flights misconnect I would like to take a train as to not miss the Cruise I have booked...Thanks for all your help....
Answer No there is no direct train from Narita Airport to Kobe.
A connection must be made in Tokyo Station or Shinagawa Stations in Tokyo.
The trip will take around 4.5 hours from Narita Airport (with a connection in Tokyo Station/Shinagawa Station in Tokyo to the Shinkansen "bullet train").
The cost will be about 17,000 Japanese Yen.
The Shinkansen will only take you to ShinKobe Station, from there you need to make another connection to a taxi or bus for the 15 minute or so ride to Kobe Port.
Remember trains do not run 24 hours so it depends on what time your flight is coming into Narita Airport.
If you have a misconnect, I strongly recommend seeing if they can fly you into Osaka "Kansai" or "Itami" Airports as an alternative as they are closer to Kobe then Narita is.
