Goodmorning Robert,

My family and I will travel to Japan in Shirakawa town (Fukushima prefecture). I am afraid about radiaton in that area. Do you have some info about?
I have 2 baby one doughter 5 years old and a son 2 years old...
Is it really safe as national agencies are saing?
What is your suggestion?

Hi,

It is far more likely that you will get more radiation on the plane trip crossing the Pacific. If that is the closest that you will get to the disaster site, than for a visit it is really not worrying over. That said, the ocean near there is still quite contaminated, so it might be prudent to avoid any fish that comes from the area.
