Question whats their main religon?
Answer Well, this is a good question.
Basically for an unknown about of time, possibly 7000+, Shinto has been the "main" Religion of Japan, in fact it did not even have a name for itsself untill Buddhism arrived in the 5-6th century A.D. Today, both buddhism and Shinto coexist as both main religions. I suggest you look up "shinto" and "Buddhism in Japan" in an online database such as Wikipedia.
