AboutDreams Expertise I have been teaching myself the language for the past seven years, having consistent practice with Japanese materials. I can help translate things from English to Japanese or vice versa. I can also help you get started if you're planning on taking up the language. =) I'm most familiar with things like anime, manga, J-pop, games and so on.
Experience I began learning the language in 1999. I frequently talk with penpals and natives in Japan, as well as continually keep up practicing with authentic Japanese materials.
Question QUESTION: The numbers in the parentheses represent the kanji I could not find. I drew them and am sending them as an attachment. Just substitute them in accoring to their number. I sent the first page of text of the doujin. The only picture is Kaworu Nagisa's face looking up. On the next page Shinji comes to get him. The sentences I typed are read left to right because I typed them in the american way, so the first sentence on the page is the first one that one would read if they were reading the doujin the normal japanese way. I originally sent random sentences because they were the sentences I was having the most trouble with. Thanks so much for your help!
So these are totally different sentences from the first one?
I appreciate you taking the time to send it in Japanese, because it makes it much easier to read. It looks like kanji #1 is 苦 (suffering) -> 苦しげに (bitterly, etc). And kanji #2 is 吐 (vomit, spew/come forth with something) -> 吐き出された (came streaming out).
So:
日覚めて一番初めに浮んだのは
切なげな君の顔と
裏切ったな…*
僕の気持ちを裏切ったんだ!!*
"The first thing that came to mind when I awoke
(was) your sad face, and
that you betrayed me...
you betrayed my feelings!!"
*哀切った -> 裏切った maybe?
哀切 is an adjective and would not be used as a verb (in the bottom line).
*気ち -> 気持ち
苦しげに
吐き出された君の 声
"Bitterly,
your voice came streaming out"
Or, it might be read as one:
"Your voice came streaming out bitterly, (saying) 'you betrayed me... you betrayed my feelings!!'"
There's no verb explicitly connecting the lines in that way, but it might make more sense depending on who was betrayed.
Hope that helps,
Dreams

QUESTION: Where do you think I could go to get translations online (as a paid service)? I'd have to draw the images myself and scan them and add the text later, but do you know of anyone who would do it, since you're translation was spot-on? (and it is very difficult to translate...)
Answer Hello,
There are many places you can find via Google to do paid translations (like www.samurai-translators.com, www.jetserv.com, etc), but usually they charge per word, or sometimes per page, and it can get expensive.
I would suggest joining art/manga/Japanese rings on places like Livejournal, Deviantart, Sheezyart, (or Google for doujin clubs, anime/art forums) etc, and try to network with people who would be willing to help you out for free. Hopefully you will find someone who has the time and dedication to help you with a project. There are plenty of people out there who know a bit of the language and would find it fun to use those skills on something.
