Question
i recently changed my trans fluid/filter and now when i stop and hit the gas it just revs and jumps into gear i didn't adjust the bands could this be the problem? also i used synthetic oil

Answer
Don't think I am asking a dumb question, but did you check the fluid after you drove?  It almost sounds like the fluid in the transmission is low, when you give it gas it picks up all the fluid it can and starts to pull with a jerk.  I would check that first.  Also if the transmission is older changing the fluid can make them quit working correctly, not sure why that happens but it often does especially if you change the kind of fluid (maybe the synthetic is too slick).  Hope you get it worked out!
