About kenji Toelken
Expertise
I will do my best to answer questions regarding chassis electrical, suspension, car audio, parts fabrication, engine and drive train. I don't claim to know everything there is to know about mechanics, hopefully through this experience I can learn some stuff from all of you as well.

Experience
I have been involved in auto mechanics and restoration for 30 years. I have owned and restored about 50 cars ranging from Peugeot to Hillman. I have recently built 2 CJ-5's from the ground up, fabricated parts for both and currently own a Cherokee XJ in progress.

Question
i woule like to know how to replace the water pump please. if it was that bottom pan gasket, wouldn't it be leaking from all around the whole pan? its only leaking around the front of the pan where the hose is and a little bit down it but not even half way. no i used a screw driver for the hose, but even when it was just the hose it only drip leaked, now it pours right out when i put liquid in with the engine off, its still dripping but its a faster constant drip and it all comes out, it drips out for a long time. it used to only be when the vehicle was running. i hope im not being a pain in the butt for you. if you have AIM chat my s/n is HBOMB4225 would save having to write on here. let me know what you think now please. thanks

Answer
Okay Heather, here's what I'd like to do.......... It's late where I live so tomorrow I'm going to go out and lay under my Cherokee and try to see if I can see what you're seeing. The pan you're talking about has me a bit confused. There shouldn't be any coolant coming from the oil pan because there isn't any coolant in it. The leak is traveling to the oil pan from somewhere else. I will explain how to remove and replace the water pump tomorrow okay? Sorry you're having this problem I know it's very frustrating!

Kenji

P.S. I don't have AIM sorry. I've got MSN messenger
