Jeep Repair - 2006 jeep liberty power mirrors

Expert: Kevin - 10/13/2009

Question
QUESTION: the power mirrors have stopped working what should be looking for. I dont see a fuse in the book for them.

ANSWER: if the ac control head is not working then look at the fuses under the driver side knee panel  if nothing is wrong with the ac system  then possible switch.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: well just to let you know the ac and heat work just fine, since your creditials are impressive i will assume the answer you posted for me was actually for another question.  I can not for the life of me figure out why Jeep doesn't have a fuse for the power mirrors or why they would have concieved the idea of running them through the ac control head.  I called the dealer and of course it is out of warrenty by (36000 mile warranty) by less than a 1,000 miles and tell me the only way they can figure it out is by hooking it up to diagnostic machine that's insane having to do that for power mirrors that quit working.  Do i really have to do that?

Thank You
Kevin C

Answer
nope it was for u   there is a single power source and then splits off to 3 other fuses one being for some ac stuff and the power mirror switch  if all of the heat and ac is working correctly  then look for that fuse as I said for the mirror switch  see if its blown  if not  possible wire issue or the mirror switch is bad.
