Question QUESTION: “Holy Spirit” – Person or Force?
From what I’ve learned, the Watchtower Society believes the “holy spirit” is a force because of:
1- absent Greek definite article 'the'
2- pneuma = neuter gender noun
3- associated with “other” impersonal things
4- no personal voice
5- no personal name
6- a 'Person' only because of Personification.
Do you agree or disagree with some or all of these reasons?
Do you have any other reasons (just headlines for now)?
ANSWER: Yes,if the holy spirit was a 3rd part of a Godhead why in several instances was there no mention, for example John 1-1
KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Only 2 mentioned the word or Logos which is the son of God and God Jehovah
Also notice this verse
NWT
(Acts 7:55-56) . . .But he, being full of holy spirit, gazed into heaven and caught sight of God’s glory and of Jesus standing at God’s right hand, 56 and he said: “Look! I behold the heavens opened up and the Son of man standing at God’s right hand.”. . .
No mention of a holy spirit ,it should have been there with the other two,God is a spirit we are told ,angels are spirits also and are said to be holy,so they are holy spirits themselves,so the churches say the holy spirit is a 3rd part of a Godhead but cant answer these two scriptures why its left out

QUESTION: Based on your profile, you know 'pneuma' is the Greek word for 'spirit'.
You know that 'pneuma' applies to God, The Holy Spirit, Satan, demons, angels, etc.
Q1 ~ But did you know that the NT contains 5 separate "pictures" of holy pneuma?
Q2 ~ Did you know that the NT contains 5 separate "pictures" of unholy / unclean / wicked / evil / demon pneuma (singular & plural)?
Q3 ~ Do you agree (focusing exclusively on the following info) that the 5 Pictures provide clear, direct, Scriptural evidence revealing that Holy & Unholy PNEUMA are Sentient Beings?
A ~ The 5 Pictures are IDENTICAL for holy AND unholy pneuma, making a perfect parallel (for easy, direct comparison & obvious conclusion).
B ~ The 5 Pictures involve the Greek (neuter) definite article "the" – either present or absent, before or after the noun pneuma &/or the adj. ~ Anyone may verify this info by looking at a Definite Article chart (e.g. see back cover of the Kingdom Interlinear, or go to http://www.wikichristian.org/index.php/Koine_Greek:_Definite_Article), then checking any Greek or Interlinear NT.
C ~ The 5 Pictures are a fact of Greek Scripture -- part of God's eternal, recorded Word. As such, the 5 Pictures are not affected overall by different Greek texts, or by translation, or by interpretation, or by expert opinion, or by anything!
PICTURE #1 ~ no def. art. / no adj. = spirit / spirit(s)
PICTURE #2 ~ no def. art. / one adj. = holy spirit / unholy spirit(s)
PICTURE #3 ~ one def. art. / no adj. = The Spirit / the spirit(s)
PICTURE #4 ~ one def. art. / one adj. = The Holy Spirit / the unholy spirit(s)
PICTURE #5 ~ two def. art. / one adj. = The Spirit The Holy / the spirit(s) the unholy
In most translations, these distinctions are mostly hidden (i.e. ignored or altered).
In the Greek text, these distinctions are on the surface in plain sight (def. art. is there, or not).
PIC #1 = NO definite article / no adjective ~ (focus is on simple fact of Existence – there is such a Person, or Power)
~ Spirit ~ (Jn.3:5,6; 4:23,24; Rom.8:4,5; Rev.1:10; 4:2; 17:3)
~ (demon) spirit ~ (Lk.9:39; 13:11; 2Cor.11:4; 2Th.2:2; 1Jn.4:1,3)
~ (demon) spirits ~ (Mt.12:45; Lk.11:26; 1Cor.12:10; Rev.16:13,14)
PIC #2 = NO def. art. / one adj. ~ (focus is on Character or Nature – good or evil)
~ Holy Spirit ~ (Lk.11:13; Ac.1:2; 4:25; Rom.14:17; 15:13,16,19)
~ unholy spirit ~ (Mk.1:23; 3:30; 5:2; 7:25; 9:17; Ac.16:16; Rev.18:2)
~ unholy spirits ~ (Mt.10:1; Lk.6:18; 7:21; 8:2; Acts 5:16; 8:7)
PIC #3 = ONE def. art. / no adj. ~ (focus is on Activity of the Being)
~ THE Spirit ~ (Mt.4:1; Ac.2:4; 5:9; 8:29; 16:7; Rom.8:9,10,11,16,26,27)
~ THE spirit ~ (Mk.9:20; Ac.16:18; Eph.2:2 Satan!; 1Jn.4:3)
~ THE spirits ~ (Mt.8:16; Lk.10:20; 1Jn.4:1)
PIC #4 = ONE def. art. / one adj. ~ (focus is on Person)
~ THE Holy Spirit ~ (Mt.28:19; Lk.12:10,12; Ac.9:31; 16:6; 2Cor.13:14)
~ THE unholy spirit ~ (Mt.12:43; Mk.9:25; Lk.11:24)
~ THE unholy spirits ~ (Lk.4:36)
PIC #5 = TWO def. art. / one adj. ~ (focus is on Essence of these Beings)
~ THE Spirit THE Holy ~ (Ac.1:16; 5:3,32; 7:51; 13:2; 20:23,28; 21:11; Heb.3:7; 9:8)

~ THE spirits THE unholy ~ (Mk.1:27; 3:11; 5:13; 6:7; Ac.19:12,13)
Answer I didn't see a question just your teaching on GK pneuma
<<<Based on your profile, you know 'pneuma' is the Greek word for 'spirit'.
You know that 'pneuma' applies to God, The Holy Spirit, Satan, demons, angels, etc.<<<<<
“spirit” Heb. ru´ach; pneu´ma, of man is not distinct from the life-force in animals,
(Ecclesiastes 3:19) . . .For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit
So pneu´ma is life-force,
in the Greek Scriptures the word “spirit” with two exceptions translates the Greek word pneuma, from which we get the words pneumatic and pneumonia. Pneuma, however, is translated not only “spirit” 288 times, but also “ghost” 91 times, “wind” once, “life” once, “spiritually” once and “spiritual gift” once
King James Version mistranslation is ghost
pneuma literally means wind,in all the various ways in which it is used it is like the wind in that it is invisible and powerful,
it is used to refer to invisible persons: “God is a Spirit.” Christ Jesus “the last Adam became a life-giving spirit”Angels are “all spirits Spirit” at times describes the invisible and impersonal life force
If in such instances a separate person is referred to, then many texts of the Bible simply do not make sense.
For example, Jesus was to baptize with holy spirit and with fire, just as John had baptized with water. Persons can be baptized with water and with fire but can they be baptized with a bodily person?
a person splitting himself up and distributing himself bit by bit to the one hundred and twenty disciples present at Pentecost and then filling each one of them? simply do not make sense
Jesus receiving from his Father this holy spirit “person” and then shedding or pouring forth, like liquid fire, this person upon those disciples? Is that reasonable?
Christians are told not to quench the spirit. Not quench a person?
it simply does not make sense to attribute personality to “spirit” in such instances.
translators have twisted their versions according to their religious prejudices, as in their unwarranted rendering of pneuma as “ghost” and as in their capitalizing holy spirit. To make holy spirit seem to be a person they have also added the definite article “the” in 105 instances before the words “spirit”where the original does not have it. Either the original writers of the Christian Greek Scriptures were extremely negligent or disrespectful of the “Holy Spirit” in leaving out the definite article or else those who attribute personality to the holy spirit are sadly mistaken.
Jesus: “Every kind of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven. For example, whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the holy spirit, it will not be forgiven him
” Jesus’ words here defy explanation if the holy spirit is the third person of a coequal trinity, but they do make sense when we consider it as God’s active force.
Jesus had cast out demons spirits and his opposers, in attributing this manifestation of God’s holy spirit or active force to the Devil, were blaspheming the holy spirit.Sins against God and Christ can be forgiven because such could be due to ignorance, but sins against a manifestation of God’s holy spirit are willful, deliberate and malicious, and so for such there is no forgiveness.
I'am puzzled you gave me 1 for knowledge yet you followed up another question, that is because we dont agree with this false teachings.
Demons are spirits and as Jesus showed they possess people, and they give knowledge and talk to people making them think its God ,we dont need voices from the spirit realm telling us anything why?
because we have his word in scripture giving us all we need.
These voices are demons misleading people thinking they are filled with the holy ghost but are filled with demonic spirits which are nothing new they have possesed people in bible times as well as now.
Jesus:
(John 14:17) . . .the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive, because it neither beholds it nor knows it. YOU know it, because it remains with YOU and is in YOU. . .
impersonal pronouns While some use the personal pronouns in this text, the fact that both Rotherham and Goodspeed, eminent Greek scholars, also use impersonal pronouns indicates that the use of personal pronouns is due to religious bias just like 1 John 5-7 is a false scripture in KJV as Greek scholars admit.
But do we not read of the holy spirit’s speaking, guiding and leading,To hold that the holy spirit is not a person is not belittling, disparaging or slighting it.
Repeatedly Jehovah’s servants had visions of heaven, such as Daniel, Stephen and the apostle John; each time they saw representations of Jehovah God and of his Son, the Son of man, the Lamb of God, but did they ever see a representation of the holy spirit as a person? NO
