Question When jesus returns will he be in spirit or flesh?
Answer Good morning Beverly, and thanks for writing.
When Jesus rose from the dead, according to the Scriptures, He rose in the flesh (John 2:19-21, Luke 24:36-39). This was certainly not corruptible flesh, for 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 tells us that one must put on immortality and incorruption, at the moment of resurrection or glorification. This can be referred to as a "spiritual" body, but does not mean it is only comprised of spirit, without flesh. Again, we are told plainly that Christ's resurrected body was certainly flesh....He said so Himself.
And there is no Scriptural indication that His body has changed, so we know His body is glorified flesh, as ours will also be in the resurrection (Philippians 3:21).
