About Ben Erdman
Expertise
I will attempt to answer any questions that have to do with major Jehovah’s Witness doctrine. I will also try to give an accurate and honest explanation from the "Truth" (the Word of God). I am not a Jehovah’s Witness. I was never baptized. I am a "witness" for Christ. I love talking about God and the piercing Word that He has provided for us. If I don't know the answer to a question I will be more than happy to research it and get an answer. So, let’s talk.

Experience
I have grown up in the religion known as Jehovah’s Witnesses. Nearly all of my family (immediate and extended) are Jehovah’s Witnesses. I have been to probably hundreds of meetings, several assemblies and have had many in-depth bible studies with Witnesses. I love these people and admire their great zeal to do what they believe is truth. I have done extensive research into this area. I have a great passion in Jehovah’s Witness doctrine and beliefs.

Education/Credentials
I do not have any particular educational credentials that affect this field. I believe that I have been very educated in this field of Jehovah’s Witness doctrine by my own experience and extensive studies. I also believe in my heart that the Spirit of God has educated me in this area and will continue to do so.

Question
Dear sir,I too am a Baptist.I also have family members who are jehovahs witnesses. But of all my 40yrs as one,i have been a researcher of intense study of our doctrines of our faith. And now for the first time ever and may i say WITHOUT the help of any info provided by the WATCHTOWER,but only wit my BAPTIST PASTOR, we both just recently swallowed our pride with some tears may i add aswell that the TRINITY DOCTRINE IS COMPLETE MANMADE. My question to u is,what PROOF do u got for prooving  that JESUS is god and that JEHOVAH IS not? or also that they ARE not A TRINITY with the Holy Spirit WITHOUT giving even one OUNCE of ur PERSONAL OPINION or UR  PERSONAL BELIEF just cause you might one to see it that way? or ur personal feelings? i would like to see what BIBLE says from ITS point of view and NOT that of ur own  feelings, as ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE . thanku and GOD BLESS

Answer
Hello Steve. I appreciate the effort you have put forth into your studies. I too have put forth intense study to evaluate what I believe and whether or not it is truth. I am not sure if you are saying that you were a Jw for 40yrs or a Baptist for 40yrs.

Anyhow, you said "TRINITY DOCTRINE IS COMPLETE MANMADE."

By this statement I am not sure where your focus is. I am not sure if you have researched whether or not early Christians believed in the Trinity or that you can't seem to find it in scriptures so assume it is manmade. If it is about whether or not the early Christians believed it, then let me know in a new question and I will be happy to share what I know and have researched with you.

I am not sure what the last few questions mean so I will not answer them. I do see that you don't want my personal opinion involved with my answer to your question and I respect that.

The only question that I could understand was when you asked, "what PROOF do u got for prooving  that JESUS is god and that JEHOVAH IS not?"

To answer your question would take a very very long time. When I answer questions, I like to make sure that everything that I can think of is laid out for you to read and understand. Therefore, since the bible is filled with "PROOF" that Jesus is God, I will just pick one proof at a time to go over with you. The first passage I would like to discuss is John 1:1-3.

John 1:1-3 - 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

Just so we are on the same page, I want you to be sure of who the Word is spoken here. It is Jesus.

v14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,"

So, now that we see that the Word is Jesus we can see that Jesus was in the beginning, was with God and was God. The oldest of manuscripts show this passage to be accurate. In fact, if you want to see what the Jw's literal, word for word translation of this passage is, then please see their 'Kingdom Interlinear Version of the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures'.

Next, I would like to point out that John (the writer) was a Jew. Jews are monotheist (the belief in ONE God). There is only one God being spoken of here. It is clear, however, that there is more than one person being spoken of as being God. But like I said, there is still only one God. Other passages of scripture confirm this. John a monotheist, was not speaking of more than one God. He did, however, see more than one person as God.

To back up that Jesus is God and "was God", verse three is essential. The first part of the verse says that ALL things were made by him. I want to emphasize that the word "all" here does not leave out anything or anybody. If Jesus was created then this would not make sense. He could not have created himself if he was not already in existence. There are NO exceptions in this verse. Jesus is the grand creator. He created "ALL things" (emphasis mine).

The next part of the verse confirms all of this so that there is absolutely no mistake. It says..."and without him was not any thing made that was made."

He is the grand creator that created ALL things. This part of the verse is essentially saying that not anything (which would include himself) was made without him. He is before all things and by him, all things consist(Col. 1:17).

I can not see it possible for someone to see this passage in John saying anything else. To me it is so crystal clear. I would appreciate your remarks on it. This is a great passage of scripture to start at and if you see anything that you disagree with, then please, let me know. By the way, I believe that Jesus is Jehovah. If we continue our discussions then I believe that you will see why. I strongly believe that scripture is abundantly clear that Jesus is deity. I hope you respond so we can further explore what else the Holy Bible has to say regarding this very important subject.

God bless you sir,
Ben
