About Renae Expertise I am willing to answer any reasonable questions you may have regarding my faith. 1 Peter 3:15 - "But sanctify the Christ is Lord in your hearts, always ready to make a defense before everyone that demands of you a reason for the hope in you, but doing so with a mild temper and deep respect."
Experience I have been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 17 years, but it has only been during the last 8 years that I have truly dedicated my life, delved into research and proven what I believe in to myself through many secular sources as well as God's word the Bible.
Education/Credentials 8 years of research. I am still learning and perfecting my faith through Jesus teachings and God's will. I understand many of the deeper things of the Bible that now make much more sense to me and I am able to back up my beliefs with other resources such as Encyclopedias including the Catholic Encyclopedia, various journalist's articles, in detail as well as comparison of different biblical translations in order to get the full effect of the scriptures.
Question Matthew 16:21 From that time forward Jesus Christ commenced showing his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the older men and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised up.
points in mind:
It is understood that Christ has made a point, that he is to suffer many things and be killed and on the third day be raised.
Questions:
1. With the above verse, is it very clear that Jesus HIMSELF, is to suffer, die and be raised?
2. Is it also clear, that for one to be raised, it is first to be destroyed?
Verse 22 At this Peter took him aside and commenced rebuking him, saying: “Be kind to yourself, Lord; you will not have this [destiny] at all.” 23 But, turning his back, he said to Peter: “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, because you think, not God’s thoughts, but those of men.”
Question:
3. Was peter "satan" interferring and trying to interrupt jesus from being killed and raised on the third day?
4. Is it clear that HE is to be killed and then raised?
Matthew 10:28 And do not become fearful of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be in fear of him that can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
Points in mind:
ONLY man can destroy the body
ONLY God can destroy both
Question:
5. Is there a ressurection of the temple (body), after man destroyed the body, if they don't have the power to destroy the soul?
6. Is there a ressurection of the TEMPLE (BODY), if God himself destroyed BOTH?
John 2:19 In answer Jesus said to them: “Break down this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
Points in mind:
The temple is to be broken down by MAN. Reminds me why Jesus has said before rebuking PETER:
that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the older men and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised up.
THE MAIN QUESTION:
Is it true that the temple is first TO SUFFER MANY THINGS by the HANDS of older men and chief priests and scribes and then KILLED??
XXXX this is the reason why it is SSOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard for me to understand why the KH teach that it was referring to the ressurection of spiritual isreal, jesus being the corner stone. XXXXX
For one, I did not see a destruction and rise on the third day, of a structured temple, when indeed it was very clear that the scriptures has shown that the JEWS thought:
20 Therefore the Jews said: “This temple was built in forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?”
But JESUS MEANT:
21 But he was talking about the temple of his body.
TODAY:
JW believes like the JEWS believed then, it was referring to a destruction of a structural temple. but JW's adding a spiritual rise, concluding that it is NOT the same temple destroyed by man. CONFLICTING with what the scriptures has stated, this is to be destroyed, this is to be risen.
If you can not show me and clear this up for me, then I will never step foot in a KH, again!!
besides other issues in need to be cleared.
