AboutBrenda Martin Expertise I have been one of Jehovah`s Witneses now for over 30 years, in those years I have brought up 4 children, teaching each of them the bible.Being one of Jehovah`s Witnesses has helped me cope with my Epilepsy and bring up a daughter with learning difficulties.I have conducted bible studies with people from nearly every denomination i.e. Muslim. Having used the bible all these years to answer peoples questions, I feel I am qualified to give any answer regarding Jehovah`s Witnesses and the bible.
Experience My experience has been one of attending bible lectures 5 times a week,taking part in these lectures in front of an audience and being with thousands of J.W. at conventions where I have seen the bible at work in peoples lives.It is truly a miracle when you see thousands of people meeting together and not one policeman needed, and not even a piece of litter in sight.It is like another world.
Question i am seperated from my husband because i caught him having sex in our house with a friend of mine!!!we were studying before i left well i was and he sat in.since i left he has moved in another woman she studies every week with the women and he studies every week with the men!!!!they go to the hall he stilldrinks and has long hair but wants me to divorce him so he can get ever lasting life.please explain this to me!!!!

Shame, sorry to hear that :¬( so, you have scriptural grounds for separation & divorce.
I WAS STUDYING, AND HE SAT IN.
So he wasn’t studying himself & he’s not a Witness, so whatever he did is nothing to do with JW’s. We can only enforce Jehovah’s laws on baptised witnesses. You say you “were” studying; I hope this doesn’t mean you have stopped? If so please restart your study, why should you lose out on life because of your husband, you have done nothing wrong, & your husband has a long way to go & many changes to make before he ever is allowed to become a Witness.
HE HAS MOVED IN ANOTHER WOMAN, SHE STUDIES EVERY WEEK WITH THE WOMEN AND HE STUDIES EVERY WEEK WITH THE MEN
Yes, so at the moment they are both NON witnesses & can do as they please, however neither of them will be allowed to go round the doors, or get baptised while living together. When we study the bible with couples who live together then later on want to become one of JW’s, they must either split or get married.
THEY GO TO THE HALL HE STILL DRINKS AND HAS LONG HAIR BUT WANTS ME TO DIVORCE HIM
Until he--1. Stops drinking. 2. Gets a hair cut. 3. Moves the woman out.
He will not be allowed to become a Witness & look forward to “everlasting life” he has loads to change before ever he can have that hope.
If he were a Witness it would be different, but as it is we have no authority in his life, sorry.
