Question
hai DW

There are some points from the scriptures explained by DERRICK HOLLAND that caught my attention and please allow me to add some of my(confusions):-)here:

(Matthew 28:5-7)

"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

He is not here: FOR HE IS RISEN, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you."

>>the WOMEN were ACTUALLY finding jesus BODY so the angel then said to them: HE IS NOT HERE....
So clearly, the subject that the ANGELS was pointing was JESUS BODY isnt it??? And they were not expecting for any PARABLES from those angels but what theyre expecting was the BODY right???

>>So whats the reason JESUS BODY was not there???? well according from the angel: FOR HE IS RISEN????

Again, what had the women gone to the tomb expecting to find?
ANSWER: A BODY

What then the angel just said?
ANSWER: HE IS NOT HERE

WHY?
ANSWER: FOR HE IS RISEN

>>SO did they find the BODY? NO! So that means JESUS BODY itself has risen also am I right??? Because as I said, the SUBJECT that theyre(Women and Angels) POINTING was the BODY, wasnt it bro.???? For the Resurrection would mean as the reuniting of the physical body with the soul/spirit right?
________________________________________________________________

And one more thing from DERRICK:
(John 2:19-22)
19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body. 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

DERRICK EXPLAINED:

The disciples "believed the Scripture" and Jesus' words (v. 22), so therefore, they believed that the temple of His body had been raised. So obviously anyone who does not believe that the temple of His body was raised after 3 days, does not believe the Scripture or the words of Jesus here in this passage, as the disciples did.

But how do we know that Jesus' same body which was put to death was actually raised in a glorified state, rather than disposed of? Simple....just read what Jesus said. By saying "THIS" temple, He is telling us WHICH temple would be destroyed. And by saying "IT" will be raised again, He is telling us that the temple that is to be raised is the very temple that would be destroyed....His body.

By using "THIS" and "IT", Jesus eliminates any possibility that there would be ANOTHER temple raised, other than the one that was destroyed. Jesus would had to have said...."Destroy this temple, and it will be dissolved, but I will begin to raise up another one after 3 days."

Sorry, but that simply isn't what the passage says. Maybe we should just believe Jesus?

AND DERRICKS CHALLENGING QUESTIONED:

So I close again with this question....What does the empty tomb signify to a JW.? I have tried for a long time now to get a particular JW to answer this question, but he hasn't even tried to because he cannot. So I am putting it forth for anyone who wishes to address it.

So can you clear things out for me Bro.???

Answer
Hello again Dave

Thanks for writing

<<<<<<<>>SO did they find the BODY? NO! So that means JESUS BODY itself has risen also am I right??? Because as I said, the SUBJECT that theyre(Women and Angels) POINTING was the BODY, wasnt it bro.???? For the Resurrection would mean as the reuniting of the physical body with the soul/spirit right?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Let's take a look at the account Derrick mentions

Matt 28:

2 "And, notice! a great earthquake had taken place; for Jehovah’s angel had descended from heaven and approached and rolled away the stone, and was sitting on it. 3 His outward appearance was as lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 Yes, for fear of him the watchmen trembled and became as dead men.
5 But the angel in answer said to the women: “Do not YOU be fearful, for I know YOU are looking for Jesus who was impaled. 6 He is not here, for he was raised up, as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying. 7 And go quickly and tell his disciples that he was raised up from the dead, and, look! he is going ahead of YOU into Gal′i·lee; there YOU will see him. Look! I have told YOU"

Now let me break this down into sections and I'll split the account up for you.

2 "And, notice! a great earthquake had taken place; for Jehovah’s angel had descended from heaven and approached and rolled away the stone, and was sitting on it. 3 His outward appearance was as lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.".................7 And go quickly and tell his disciples that he was raised up from the dead, and, look! he is going ahead of YOU into Gal′i·lee; there YOU will see him. Look! I have told YOU"

So what we see here is that these women went to visit Jesus and there was an angel there who delivered them a message.

He told them Jesus had been resurrected and would meet them in Galilee.

But what your forgetting is that this message alone wasn't enough for them they also needed proof. So how do we know this?? Look at this part here.

"and approached and rolled away the stone"

So the Angel rolled away the stone, but the key point is ,it was unnecessary to roll away the stone because Jesus could walk through walls. We see that here.

John 20:

19 Therefore, when it was late on that day, the first of the week, and, although the doors were locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them: “May YOU have peace"

26 "Well, eight days later his disciples were again indoors, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and he stood in their midst and said: “May YOU have peace"

So why did the angel roll away the stone?? Why was the angel waiting for them ?? The only reason is to give evidence of Jesus resurrection

Now imagine he rolled away the stone and the body had been there. Then rolling away the stone becomes a pointless exercise because it proves nothing.

So the only way to prove that Jesus was resurrected was to show an empty tomb, right?? Hence the Angel rolled away the stone ,no body, Jesus has been raised.

So these words here

5 "I know YOU are looking for Jesus who was impaled. 6 He is not here, for he was raised up, as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying"

Mean this

5 "I know YOU are looking for Jesus who was impaled. 6 You cannot see him because he's been resurrected let me show you"

Now if they had come on the first day or the second, even if the body had been there it wouldn't have been problem , no harm done whatsoever. However once he he had been raised then it becomes different after that point you couldn't see the body because where would the evidence be??

So let's imagine they also came on the first and second day.

DAY 1

"I know YOU are looking for Jesus who was impaled. 6 here he is because he's not been resurrected yet"

DAY 2

"I know YOU are looking for Jesus who was impaled. 6 here he is because he's not been resurrected yet"

DAY 3

"I know YOU are looking for Jesus who was impaled. 6 You cannot see him because he's been resurrected and if he was here where's the proof??

Now you see Derrick ASSUMES that the only reason he wasn't there is because he he was now a zombie.

But the real reason he wasn't there is for this reason below.

Romans 10:

9 "For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Lord, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved"

So if his body was there how could anyone believe and be saved without any evidence to believe??

The entire account is giving proof of Jesus resurrection not about Jesus being a zombie.

It's the same thing he did with Thomas he showed him wounds. Now imagine he was raised in the flesh he could have healed those wounds but he needed them for a reason, evidence!!

Next point

John 2:

19 "In answer Jesus said to them: “Break down this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 Therefore the Jews said: “This temple was built in forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?” 21 But he was talking about the temple of his body"

First things first he never said he would raise his body , he said the TEMPLE of his body. The temple of Jesus body is a spiritual temple.

Here's the body of Christ

Eph 4:

12 "with a view to the readjustment of the holy ones, for ministerial work, for the building up of the body of the Christ"

Here's the temple of that body.

1 Cor 3:

16 "Do YOU not know that YOU people are God’s temple, and that the spirit of God dwells in YOU? 17 If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] YOU people are"

So the temple of Jesus body is the spiritual temple that he is the chief cornerstone of.

1 Peter 2:

4 "Coming to him as to a living stone, rejected, it is true, by men, but chosen, precious, with God, 5 YOU yourselves also as living stones are being built up a spiritual house for the purpose of a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For it is contained in Scripture: “Look! I am laying in Zion a stone, chosen, a foundation cornerstone, precious; and no one exercising faith in it will by any means come to disappointment."7 It is to YOU, therefore, that he is precious, because YOU are believers; but to those not believing, “the identical stone that the builders rejected has become [the] head of [the] corner"

So Jesus was raised as the chief corner stone of that spiritual temple in three days.

Because Jesus is the primary member he can refer to himself as the temple, we see that here:

Rev 21:

22 "And I did not see a temple in it, for Jehovah God the Almighty is its temple, also the Lamb [is]"

Just the same as Jesus referred to himself as the Kingdom of God for the same reason.

Luke 17:

21 "neither will people be saying, ‘See here!’ or, ‘There!’ For, look! the kingdom of God is in YOUR midst"

So the TEMPLE of Jesus body was raised in three days and it still doesn't mean he's a zombie!!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<So I close again with this question....What does the empty tomb signify to a JW.? I have tried for a long time now to get a particular JW to answer this question, but he hasn't even tried to because he cannot. So I am putting it forth for anyone who wishes to address it>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

It means this scripture here was fulfilled

Acts 2:

31 "neither was he forsaken in Ha′des nor did his flesh see corruption"

The empty tomb poses no problems for witnesses because Jesus was raised in the spirit. As I said before. The empty tomb meant the apostles would have proof Jesus had been resurrected.

If Jesus had been raised as a spirit and his body left to decay then this scripture here wouldn't have been fulfilled

"nor did his flesh see corruption"

So there's two options.

1)He was raised as a spirit and God disposed of his body

2)He was raised as a spirit and his body see's corruption.

Number one's the only option. His body was disposed of by God. When they turned up at the tomb the angel had rolled away the stone for the only possible reason to prove the resurrection by presenting an empty tomb.

Although Derrick will probably try to tell everyone the angel did it to show off his muscles, hahaha

So that's what the empty tomb means "Evidence of Jesus resurrection"

Follow up if you need

Take Care.

Expertise

I have many years of experience serving Jehovah . I have known Jehovah a long time and I have known his organization . I have been privileged to see great progress not only in my own personal relationship with my God and Father but within his organization. I am an avid reader of the bible and have been gifted by my Father with the indescribable privilege of being allowed to understand his own word.

Experience

The truth is all about scripture and logic. The two go hand in hand . There is not one bible verse that cannot be understood within the realms of human reasoning. Not one!! Why would it?? The bible is God's message to his creation . His creation who he made to understand things in a specific way. God is not stupid or unwise as to leave as a message then allow us to guess what it means or who he is. 1 Tim 2:3This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, 4whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth" Notice the expression "accurate knowledge".

Organizations
The bible leaves signs of true christianity there are many. Jehovah's witnesses meet every single sign. One sign is the removal of false teachings that permeated the world soon after the apostles died. Jesus foretold this and he also foretold of the restoration of pure worship in the period known as the last days. The days we are currently living in. Jesus was a master of using illustrations he used an illustration to highlight this point Matt 13: "The Kingdom of the heavens may be likened to a man who sowed fine seed in his field. 25While men were sleeping, his enemy came and oversowed weeds in among the wheat and left. 26When the stalk sprouted and produced fruit, then the weeds also appeared. 27So the slaves of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow fine seed in your field? How, then, does it have weeds?’ 28He said to them, ‘An enemy, a man, did this.’ The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go out and collect them?’ 29He said, ‘No, for fear that while collecting the weeds, you uproot the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest season, I will tell the reapers: First collect the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them up; then gather the wheat into my storehouse" Why did he speak in illustrations? Matt 13:10So the disciples came and said to him: “Why do you speak to them by the use of illustrations?” 11In reply he said: “To you it is granted to understand the sacred secrets of the Kingdom of the heavens, but to them it is not granted" The kingdom of the heavens is full of sacred secrets that Jesus reveals only to his followers. This privilege is open to all who are really willing to submit to God and his Christ in action not just in words. These are the ones God is looking for. Are you really one?? If so I encourage you to let Jehovah's witnesses show you what the Bible really teaches.

Education/Credentials
False religion is disgusting to God and to his true worshippers it is likened in the Bible to a harlot Rev 17:"I will show you the judgment upon the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, whereas those who inhabit the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication" Whereas the bride of Christ is likened to a virgin Rev 14: 4"These are the ones who did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins" These are both used as spiritual terms here and show the importance of pure and clean worship for God's people.
