Question
QUESTION: Hello DW,

I know this is difficult, but please try to stay civil.

Can you prove from scripture that Jehovah God dissolved or disposed of Jesus' body? One would think that on such an important subject as this, the Watchtower would be able to provide even (1) scripture telling us that Jesus' body was disposed of by Jehovah.

I have many verses that tells us the opposite, that Jesus' body was physically raised from the dead, and it came from Jesus himself.

John 2:19-21 “Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of HIS BODY.”

"THE TEMPLE OF HIS BODY"!

//////////////

Jesus also gives the Pharisees a sign, as seen in Matthew 12:38-40...........

v. 38- “Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

v. 39- “But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

v. 40- For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whales belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

Obviously, this passage shows us a parallel, and also that Jesus’ body was only in the tomb for 3 days. Again, the question arises…”What happened to the body?” Scriptures show quite clearly that the body of Christ rose from the tomb, and there is NO Scripture anywhere that even hints or implies that it was “dissolved” or “disposed of”.

The burden of scriptural proof lies squarely on the shoulders of the WT.
The bible and Jesus tell us that HIS body was raised.
The WT tells its members that HIS body was "dissolved".

One of the two are wrong, which one will you believe?

ANSWER: If you had an ounce of spiritual insight we wouldn't have to keep going over and over the same point. I know the TEMPLE OF HIS BODY was raised. Nobodies said any different!!

It was a spiritual raising of a spiritual temple the temple of Jesus body is something spiritual there's untold scriptures that say this. Like this.

1 cor 3:

16 "Do YOU not know that YOU people are God’s temple, and that the spirit of God dwells in YOU? 17 If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] YOU people are"

and this.

Heb 3:

6 "We are the house of that One"

Now show me one scripture that says THE TEMPLE OF JESUS BODY is PHYSICAL!!

<<<<<v. 40- For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whales belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So not only are you telling me that "The Son of Man" refers to Jesus body you're also telling me is that only Jonah's body was in the fish three days then yeah?? Not Jonah himself?? Do you want to go on record as saying that then??

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<The burden of scriptural proof lies squarely on the shoulders of the WT.
The bible and Jesus tell us that HIS body was raised.
The WT tells its members that HIS body was "dissolved>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So seeing as there's still not one scripture that say's Jesus body was raised the burden of proof is still on you to prove your position!!

Jesus was a passover (lamb)sacrifice a passover sacrifice is devoured FLESH and spilt BLOOD. That's EXACTLY what a passover sacrifice is!!

1 Cor 5:

7 "Clear away the old leaven, that YOU may be a new lump, according as YOU are free from ferment. For, indeed, Christ our passover has been sacrificed"

John 1:

29 "The next day he beheld Jesus coming toward him, and he said: “See, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world"!

Exodus 12:

8 "And they must eat the flesh on this night. They should eat it roasted with fire and with unfermented cakes along with bitter greens. 9 Do not eat any of it raw or boiled, cooked in water, but roast with fire, its head together with its shanks and its interior parts. 10 And YOU must not leave any of it over till morning, but what is left over of it till morning YOU should burn with fire"

Which is exactly why Jesus say's this here:

Matt 26:

26 “TAKE, eat. This means my body"

And why they Bible say's this here

Acts 2:

31"nor did his flesh see corruption"

The passover lamb never saw corruption either as we just saw

"YOU must not leave any of it over till morning"

Now here's some points for you.

1) Don't come to me talking about parallel whilst ignoring this vital parallel.

2)Go away and then come back and show me where the passover lamb came back in the same body with no blood.

3)Go away and then come back and show me where any sacrifice was given and then taken back.

Now the true prophets on this board the real Jehovah's witnesses not the Jehovah's witnesses wannabe's have scripturally shown our position. No amount of stupidity on your part will change our position.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Why could you not just pass on insulting?

Anyway, back to the bible......

You are going to run into trouble with ....

John 2:22 “When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.”

You see, this is the verse following Jesus' statement that HIS "body" would be raised.

You also forgot Jesus said "this" and "it".

19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

....................................................

And sir....Jonah's body WAS in the belly of the fish. The same as Jesus' body was in the heart of the earth. Jonah came out of the fish, with the same body, same as Jesus came from the tomb in the same body. And it is you that happens to be the "annihilationist", not I. So if Jesus' body was not in the tomb, and it was "dissolved" as the WT claims, then Jesus would have been completely non-existant.

Really difficult to resurrect HIMSELF if HE had been non-existant.(Remember, HE said that HE would raise himself)

..............................................................

Once again, you are trying to defend the WT idea that Jesus being resurrected physically, somehow negates His sacrifice. But Jesus gave you the answer Himself.

John 10:17-18 “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have the power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.”

It was His bodily victory over death, hell, and the grave that makes His sacrifice valid for us. Physical death came about through Adam’s sin, and Jesus' offered a perfect sacrifice for sin.

Comparing Jesus' sacrifice with that of a lamb, falls short. The temple sacrifice of Lambs, was an imperfect sacrifice. That is why it was done ritually. It was not a perfect sacrifice. And Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself for us, I wonder how many lambs spoke up and volunteered for their sacrifice?

Jesus also states here that, He was willingly laying down His life for us, and that He would TAKE IT AGAIN. So according to Jesus, there was no inconsistency in taking back what had been laid down as a sacrifice. And oh yeah.........He told you once more that HE would resurrect Himself.

...........................................

Luke24:36-43.…
“And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and suppose that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”

Upon Jesus entering the room, the disciples believed he WAS a spirit. Jesus took this opportunity to correct this error and invited them to examine his body and told them, “a spirit hath NOT flesh and bones, as ye see me have”.

This would have been the perfect opportunity to explain to His disciples that His body was only temporary. If the disciples were correct to begin with, why would Jesus ever correct them?

...........................................................

Do you notice a pattern here????????       Jesus tells us something, and you spend page after page of out of context verses trying to prove Jesus wrong.

1.Jesus clearly tells us He is NOT a spirit.
////You spend pages telling us He is a spirit.

2.Jesus tells us that He would resurrect Himself.
////You spend pages telling us that Jesus was non-existant, and could NOT resurrect Himself.

3.Jesus tells us that HIS body would be raised.
/////You tell us that "there's still not one scripture that say's Jesus body was raised".

Just read the bible and accept it.

I do not presume to make a judgement on your salvation. That is Jesus' job. But fighting with HIM is not a good start. Be careful my friend. These are dangerous waters you are navigating.

Try this time, not using insults.

Answer
I'm really not interested on what you think are insults some people need a slap round the face in an attempt to wake them up, you're one of those people. So when I say your spiritually stupid it's not an insult it's a fact. Instead of worrying about your own personal feelings, try looking at the bigger picture. Your misguided loyalty to Derrick Holland and his falsehoods will cost you.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<You are going to run into trouble with ...

John 2:22 “When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.”

You see, this is the verse following Jesus' statement that HIS "body" would be raised>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

How dya work that out, exactly??

I've already told you the TEMPLE OF HIS BODY WAS RAISED I never denied that in the first place, so your point fails!!!

When you say his body you're missing out the word TEMPLE in that sentence. It's the TEMPLE OF HIS BODY. How come that's so hard to grasp!!!

I've already shown you that the TEMPLE OF HIS BODY is something spiritual. You've yet to show the TEMPLE OF HIS BODY his physical. You can't just say it you have to show it, that's not to hard for you to grasp as well is it??

<<<<<<You also forgot Jesus said "this" and "it">>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

No I never forgot the words THIS and IT . The SPIRITUAL TEMPLE OF JESUS BODY WAS TORN DOWN AND HE RAISED IT. I can't make that any clearer. My seven year old nephew get's it why are you struggling so much??

<<<<<<<<<<And sir....Jonah's body WAS in the belly of the fish>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yeah so was his blood.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<The same as Jesus' body was in the heart of the earth.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

No Jesus BODY wasn't in the heart of the Earth it was on the surface of the earth in a cave.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Jonah came out of the fish, with the same body, same as Jesus came from the tomb in the same body>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Jonah came out with the same blood as well what's your point??

By this logic Jesus came out with the same body and the same blood. THINK THINGS THROUGH!!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< And it is you that happens to be the "annihilationist", not I. So if Jesus' body was not in the tomb, and it was "dissolved" as the WT claims, then Jesus would have been completely non-existant>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yeah he was nonexistent for three days his soul (Which means life not body) went down into Sheol/Hades

Amos 9:

2 "dig down into She′ol"

Acts 2:

27 "because you will not leave my soul in Ha′des"

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Really difficult to resurrect HIMSELF if HE had been non-existant.(Remember, HE said that HE would raise himself)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

What scripture you referring too. The one where he said he would raise THE TEMPLE OF HIS BODY??

What's your point he did raise THE TEMPLE OF HIS BODY?? I never said any different!!

Now with regard your sacrifice nonsense.

The Passover lamb was not my comparison it was the apostle Paul's

1 Cor 5:

"For, indeed, Christ our Passover has been sacrificed"

and also John the baptizers

John 1:

29 "The next day he beheld Jesus coming toward him, and he said: “See, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world"!

I didn't sit here and make the analogy up. I got it from scripture!!!

So the way you BIBLICALLY interpret a Passover sacrifice is what I showed you it was DEVOURED flesh.

That's why I told you to go away and BIBLICALLY interpret it differently. Only then can you start to form some sort of argument.

Just sitting there making sweeping statements about what negates the sacrifice and what doesn't, fails miserably!!!

Like I said hundreds of times don't just say it show it!!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Luke24:36-43.…
“And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and suppose that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts? This would have been the perfect opportunity to explain to His disciples that His body was only temporary. If the disciples were correct to begin with, why would Jesus ever correct them?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I addressed this argument this morning.

The angels they had just seen had flesh and bones so having flesh and bones doesn't prove you're not a spirit being. I know you read that so why repeat the same point.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<This would have been the perfect opportunity to explain to His disciples that His body was only temporary.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

He didn't need to tell them his body was temporary they already knew what a sacrifice was they already knew because they where Jews, they already knew the Hebrew scriptures about Angels coming down in materialized bodies, they'd just seen two so why does he need to tell them?? They also knew this scripture

Matt 26:

26 “TAKE, eat. This means my body"

Do you not understand this scripture??

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<If the disciples were correct to begin with, why would Jesus ever correct them?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Because they thought he was an apparition .

Why did he invite them to feel him if they thought he was spirit being?? You can feel a spirit being if it's materialized flesh!!

Lot's of pointless and illogical statements going on in your false beliefs

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<1.Jesus clearly tells us He is NOT a spirit.
////You spend pages telling us He is a spirit.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

As we've seen NO HE DIDN'T. He said he wasn't an apparition.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<2.Jesus tells us that He would resurrect Himself.
////You spend pages telling us that Jesus was non-existant, and could NOT resurrect Himself.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

As we've seen NO HE DIDN'T he said he would raise THE TEMPLE OF HIS BODY. We've also biblically interpreted that to be something spiritual!!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<3.Jesus tells us that HIS body would be raised.
/////You tell us that "there's still not one scripture that say's Jesus body was raised">>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

As we've seen NO HE DIDN'T ,you still haven't found one, scripture or parallel that say's!!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Just read the bible and accept it.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I have already you better take your own advice

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<I do not presume to make a judgement on your salvation. That is Jesus' job. But fighting with HIM is not a good start. Be careful my friend. These are dangerous waters you are navigating.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The dangerous waters are what you're in now because you challenged me.Now you have no excuse to keep deceiving people with your falsehoods. You can't claim ignorance anymore. That put's you on a tightrope so think VERY, VERY,VERY carefully. Before you fight against and therefore sin against spirit.

Now I will give you ONE more chance to come back with BIBLICAL interpretations for your sweeping statements.

Don't come to me asking me prove something from scripture and then not do that yourself.

Now I've shown you how Jesus sacrifice paralleled that of a Passover lamb devoured flesh and spilled blood.

I've shown you how THE TEMPLE OF JESUS BODY was spiritual and all you've done is the normal Christendom thing, put your own opinion on things.

So you have ONE more chance to back up your sweeping statements with scripture OR you can leave with your tail between your legs OR you can humble yourself and ask Jehovah for forgiveness for your teaching of falsehoods.

Take care

I have many years of experience serving Jehovah . I have known Jehovah a long time and I have known his organization . I have been privileged to see great progress not only in my own personal relationship with my God and Father but within his organization. I am an avid reader of the bible and have been gifted by my Father with the indescribable privilege of being allowed to understand his own word.

Experience

The truth is all about scripture and logic. The two go hand in hand . There is not one bible verse that cannot be understood within the realms of human reasoning. Not one!! Why would it?? The bible is God's message to his creation . His creation who he made to understand things in a specific way. God is not stupid or unwise as to leave as a message then allow us to guess what it means or who he is. 1 Tim 2:3This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, 4whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth" Notice the expression "accurate knowledge".

Organizations
The bible leaves signs of true christianity there are many. Jehovah's witnesses meet every single sign. One sign is the removal of false teachings that permeated the world soon after the apostles died. Jesus foretold this and he also foretold of the restoration of pure worship in the period known as the last days. The days we are currently living in. Jesus was a master of using illustrations he used an illustration to highlight this point Matt 13: "The Kingdom of the heavens may be likened to a man who sowed fine seed in his field. 25While men were sleeping, his enemy came and oversowed weeds in among the wheat and left. 26When the stalk sprouted and produced fruit, then the weeds also appeared. 27So the slaves of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow fine seed in your field? How, then, does it have weeds?’ 28He said to them, ‘An enemy, a man, did this.’ The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go out and collect them?’ 29He said, ‘No, for fear that while collecting the weeds, you uproot the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest season, I will tell the reapers: First collect the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them up; then gather the wheat into my storehouse" Why did he speak in illustrations? Matt 13:10So the disciples came and said to him: “Why do you speak to them by the use of illustrations?” 11In reply he said: “To you it is granted to understand the sacred secrets of the Kingdom of the heavens, but to them it is not granted" The kingdom of the heavens is full of sacred secrets that Jesus reveals only to his followers. This privilege is open to all who are really willing to submit to God and his Christ in action not just in words. These are the ones God is looking for. Are you really one?? If so I encourage you to let Jehovah's witnesses show you what the Bible really teaches.

Education/Credentials
False religion is disgusting to God and to his true worshippers it is likened in the Bible to a harlot Rev 17:"I will show you the judgment upon the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, whereas those who inhabit the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication" Whereas the bride of Christ is likened to a virgin Rev 14: 4"These are the ones who did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins" These are both used as spiritual terms here and show the importance of pure and clean worship for God's people.
