Question
My last email to you was to be my last email, but then I found a second email from you in my inbox, so I'll take a few minutes to respond.

"What were you expecting? That I send a website that is hostile to us?"

No, as I've said over and over I would like to see INDEPENDENT support of what you claim.

"But you say you "oppose the NWT based on common sense" and yet common sense tells us that we in this modern time possess MORE knowledge than those of the past - especially when dealing with linguistic accuracy."

So Almighty God, in whom we can trust there is no deceit or confusion, allowed a Bible to be written, just not a correct Bible. We had to wait until 1961 for the correct translation? Seems a bit unfair to the billions of people that died before 1961.

"Not only that, we have literally thousands of old and newly discovered documents, manuscripts. Documents and  Manuscripts that we can go to as references."

I asked you about this in probably my first email to you when I mentioned the Dead Sea Scrolls and Papyrus #66. Can you provide me these documents/manuscripts?

"We have TECHNOLOGY at our disposal to get to the root and meaning of a particular word - even the most problematic ones. NONE of these were available to the people hundreds or even a thousand years ago."

The trouble is MODERN DAY SCHOLARS have denounced the NWT as a mistranslation.

"Case in point. Here's a verse that has caused confusion to many and still is causing confusion because of POOR translation from many Bibles:

From you favorite 1611 KJB:

Psalme 110:1

[A Psalme of Dauid.] The Lord said vnto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand: vntil I make thine enemies thy footestoole.

Here's how it's rendered in the NWT:

“. . .The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”” (Psalm 110:1)"

That's a laughable example. That is one of the MINOR changes that doesn't in any way change the meaning of the verse. Many of your bible's changes to Scripture COMPLETELY change the meaning of the verses. John 1:1 is a perfect example.

Ron you said:

It's sad Ron, that you find it LAUGHABLE the removal of God's most beautiful name - Jehovah! It even sadder that you find it LAUGHABLE the changing of God's most holy name Jehovah into a title LORD.

I hope you realized what you just did, but it shows what's in your heart.

On the other hand the NWT treats it with UTMOST reverence and care that they RESTORED it to its rightful place and thereby making the NWT the most consistent and accurate translation of all.

But what gives the translators the right to REMOVE the VERY name of God from his own BOOK?

NONE!

Again to compare:

NWT

“. . .The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”” (Psalm 110:1)

“For David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘Jehovah said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand” (Luke 20:42)

The other Bible:

New International Version
David himself declares in the Book of Psalms: "'The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand

New Living Translation
For David himself wrote in the book of Psalms: 'The LORD said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand

World English Bible
David himself says in the book of Psalms, 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand,

Young's Literal Translation
and David himself saith in the Book of Psalms, The Lord said to my lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Notice again the similarity of the NWT to the following translations:

World English Bible
Yahweh says to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet."

Darby Bible Translation
{Psalm of David.} Jehovah said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I put thine enemies as footstool of thy feet.

American Standard Version
Jehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
Lord Jehovah said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies as a stool for your feet.”

Question: WHY all of the sudden the changed?

Is this really a minor change OR a MAJOR change?

To remove the very name of the AUTHOR of the Bible - Jehovah and replace it with LORD is a minor changed?

How would you feel if your name was removed and replaced by Lord from a book you Authored?

How would your children and future generations know that you were the Author of such letter / book if your VERY name was removed and replaced with something else?

How do you think God feels when His VERY superlative name was removed and replaced from his own letter / book?

How is this minor?

Care to explain?

Better not else you will get into more trouble.

As for John 1:1 - nope, the NWT made it clearer than ever before!
