Jehovah`s Witness/Body of resurrection

Talk about dodging a question and not giving a straight answer.  In fact, Eddie G is incorrect when he brings up 1 Peter 3;18, as if it hasn't been addressed in great detail.  It has....several times.  He is also in error when he claims that it must be "twisted".  Actually, when the verse is correctly translated and placed in context, no "twisting" is necessary, because it does not deny a bodily resurrection.

Furthermore, the real "twisting" comes when JWs try to explain away Jesus' own plain and clear statement on this subject, when He said....

"Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." (Jn. 2:19)

And then, the above statement is EXPLAINED just 2 verses later....

"But he spake of the temple of his body."

Now, if you want to see some real Scripture twisting, just watch the JWs try to re-define "this", "it", and "body", just to make the passage somewhat in harmony with their teachings.

No, the Scripture is quite clear.  Jesus' body was put to death, and after 3 days, the SAME body that was put to death ("this" and "it"), was raised again.  That's the understanding that ANYBODY reading the text alone, without a magazine right beside of them telling them what to think, would come to.

I will not tolerate any rivalry against my God! “No weapon formed against you will have any success, And you will condemn any tongue that rises up against you in the judgment.
