Jehovah`s Witness/Pleading with my fellow Christians
My fellow Christians - now that you know that the cross is of pagan origin. A pagan symbol of sex worship and sun worship, will you still knell and bow down to it?
Will you still go to your churches and pray in front of it?
If so, how do you justify such detestable act?
Can you justify such detestable act?
But if you think that such act of worship is not detestable to God and Jesus, then please consider the following scriptures and let me please ask you some sincere questions.
At Exodus 20:4, 5 God said:
“You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 5 You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation, in the case of those who hate me;”
No doubt you're aware that the above scripture is the first command of the Ten Commandments. That's good!
But now, what do you think God meant by the statement, you must not make for yourself:
"...a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth."?
Do you think he meant everything in the universe?
If you say yes, it includes everything! Then why the CROSS?
Why make a CROSS with a carved images nailed to it then INCLUDE it in your worship to God?
Why worship the cross?
And by whose command that we Christians do such a thing? Do you know? Do you have an answer?
Was it God? Was it Jesus? I very much doubt it because such command doesn't exist!
In act the opposite exists, we're all forbidden to worship idols!
"But wait" you say "we don't worship the cross! We only use it as a reminder, a remembrance!"
Okay, then why KNEEL down to it? Why bow down to it? Why kiss it? Why hold it sacred? Why venerate it?
Why carry it around if you're not worshiping it? Really, why do you need such detestable thing as a reminder, a remembrance?
Are we not reminded that we should all be "walking by faith, not by sight.”? 2 Cor 5:7.
So, why carry such a thing?
And, why place such detestable "thing" in a prominent area of your place of worship if it's not part of your worship?
Do you think that Jehovah God doesn't consider such worship as an idol worship?
If not, then you're gravely mistaken. May I suggest you read the commandment again and also please consider this:
“. . .Now I do not want YOU to be ignorant, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea” “. . .Therefore, my beloved ones, flee from idolatry.” (1 Corinthians 10:1,14)
"flee from idolatry" says the command!
Now, what about our Lord Christ Jesus, will he find such act of worship acceptable? Will he be glad that you're doing such a thing in remembrance of him?
Or will he say to you:
“. . .Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness. . .” (Matthew 7:23)
“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.” (Matthew 7:21)
So, please think about it my fellow Christians, how long will Jehovah God tolerate this detestable act?
For how much more longer will he endure such an insult?
How long should He endure such detestable thing to be constantly "thrust" at him?
For how long must he allow the "Churches" to continue "shooting" such detestable thing, atop many steeples right underneath his "nose", through his very face?
Think about it my dear friends, if this done to you, how would feel?
How do you think God feels about it?
How do you think Jesus our Lord feels about it? How do you think the holy angels of Jah! feels about it?
Do you think they are too happy to accept such act of worship or are they enrage?
If the latter you say, how then do you justify such detestable act?
Really, can anyone justify such detestable act?
If you can't, then the command is clear my friends!
“Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? 15 Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Be′li•al? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? For we are a temple of a living God; just as God said: “I shall reside among them and walk among [them], and I shall be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 “‘Therefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take YOU in.’” 18 “‘And I shall be a father to YOU, and YOU will be sons and daughters to me,’ says Jehovah the Almighty.”” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
The vision is clear as:
“...he further said to me: “Have you seen [this], O son of man? You will yet see again great detestable things worse than these.” 16 So he brought me to the inner courtyard of the house of Jehovah, and, look! at the entrance of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of Jehovah and their faces to the east, and they were bowing down to the east, to the sun. 17 And he went on to say to me: “Have you seen [this], O son of man? Is it such a light thing to the house of Judah to do the detestable things that they have done here, that they have to fill the land with violence and that they should offend me again, and here they are thrusting out the shoot to my nose? 18 And I myself also shall act in rage. My eye will not feel sorry, neither shall I feel compassion. And they will certainly call out in my ears with a loud voice, but I shall not hear them.”” (Ezekiel 8:15-18)
So my dear friends:
“Gather yourselves together, yes, do the gathering, O nation not paling in shame. 2 Before [the] statute gives birth to [anything], [before the] day has passed by just like chaff, before there comes upon YOU people the burning anger of Jehovah, before there comes upon YOU the day of Jehovah’s anger, 3 seek Jehovah, all YOU meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably YOU may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger.” (Zephaniah 2:1-3)
If you love God, if you love Jesus, if you love life, may you heed the warning and loving command from God and Jesus and live!
