Jehovah`s Witness/Was Mr. Holland arguing with himself?
Mr. Holland, changing tactics/topics already?
What happened to my questions?
Why not just give us a simple quick answer to the questions that I asked in my last post?
Before you go on tangent, why not just tell us what was your argument is about?
Here they are again:
What is the answer to these simple questions - Is Derrick Holland arguing with himself? If no, who said, "...not just some" then?
Inquiring minds want to know. Were you arguing with yourself Mr. Holland when you said "God wants ALL men to be saved...not just some”?
Or were you referring to us, what we believed and what we teach?
If so why misrepresent us? Why not just tell the truth.
But if you misspoke, nothing wrong to admit it (hint: your way out out the hole), even I misspeak once in while. And when I do, I'll admit it. For instance, I said Adam instead of Kevin in response to one of your post. Now this happened unintentionally because I was reading another post with your buddy's name Kevin in it, then created the post afterwards. Or that I said you "finally" admitted that your Trinity godhead's name is "Jehovah". So for that I apologize - I misspoke.
But not to admit that you misspoke and say that we believe or teach that only "...just some" the 144,000 are saved by God then try to wiggle out from it afterwards, is quite different from an unintentional one or two. Hence, yours was a deliberate attempt to lie about us. You know it and we know it.
So what say you? Did you misspoke or lied? Neither? Then keep digging and we'll have see how deep the rabbit's hole will go.
BTW - your buddy Kevin (to the rescue) mentioned about a cross, where you claimed you "caught Eddie outright lying, and then refusing to correct it ...never recovered from that discussion"? Well I never back out of that discussion (The Cross), we just didn't finished it. But since you want to go back to it (I think), then let's continue that discussion AFTER you truthfully answer this post first or this one:
A simple way to explain mankind's salvation through Jesus Christ is this:
Jesus IS the savior of mankind by virtue of his ransom sacrifice.
The scripture says:
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
By means of his ransom sacrifice, through his shed blood we became reconciled to God.
The scripture says:
"For if when we were enemies we became reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more we will be saved by his life, now that we have become reconciled." (Romans 5:10)
Thus as a ransomer, Jesus became the savior and reconciled everyone to God through faith on his shed blood.
Nothing in the Bible that says, Jesus must become a "Mediator for ALL men" in order to save everyone. As a savior, a ransomer and a reconciler - he fulfilled that vital role.
And like I said, Jesus' role as a Mediator "between God and men" (1 Tim 2:5) is for the sole purpose of a COVENANT or an agreement between him and his brothers - the 144,000 anointed ones.
The scripture says:
"..."Do not let your hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in God; exercise faith also in me. 2 In the house of my Father are many dwelling places. Otherwise, I would have told you, for I am going my way to prepare a place for you. 3 Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you home to myself, so that where I am you also may be. 4 And where I am going, you know the way."" (John 14:1-4)
""Have no fear, little flock, for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom." (Luke 12:32)
"But now Jesus has obtained a more excellent ministry because he is also the mediator of a correspondingly better covenant, which has been legally established on better promises." (Hebrews 8:6)
"and Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and the sprinkled blood, which speaks in a better way than Abel's blood." (Hebrews 12:24)
"But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession, that you should declare abroad the excellencies” of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9)
"and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth." (Revelation 5:10)
"That is why he is a mediator of a new covenant, in order that because a death has occurred for their release by ransom from the transgressions under the former covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance." (Hebrews 9:15)
These should be more than enough to establish the fact!
