Jehovah`s Witness/Hello Sister T
Derrick Holland claims we are to take the KJV literally in all of it's passages. Then how come he claims Jesus (never ceased to exist) when scripture states, "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures"--1 Cor 15:3.
How does he interpret 1 Cor 15:3 if we are to interpret this passage literally? Why does he claim something that is not in that passage as being literal? If Jesus never ceased to exist according to Holland, then where was Jesus if he never died?? Is he saying we are not to believe Romans 10:9 in the literal sense? Why is he suggesting that the passages of the bible are lies?
Hello Allen and thank you for writing,
If he believes the KJV should be taken literally in all of its passages, that holds a huge problem and is why that belief keeps people in spiritual darkness. And to say that Jesus "never ceased to exist" and then try to say that "never ceasing to exist" doesn't mean dying is another huge problem.
When a person has a belief that goes contrary to the Bible then they always have to come up with an explanation to try to make their belief fit the Bible. So some of his beliefs is that: Jesus is Almighty God, the Trinity, hellfire, immortal souls, Jesus = Jehovah, Jehovah is the triune God, Jehovah is God the Father, Jesus is God the Son, the Holy Ghost is God, Jesus never ceased to exist, etc.
And since the Bible clearly shows that Almighty God cannot die, this belief has to come up with something to explain Jesus dying, so they make up further falsehoods, and in turn come up with something else to explain that one, because none of it makes any sense, it's all of disorder, then they have to come up with something else to explain that one because of course these beliefs contradict not only the Bible but each other, so they can't use them together at one time. And when they hit a road block they say God's thoughts are higher than ours and his ways higher than our ways and God is a mystery. Or they just use word trickery and say words don't mean what they really mean, this belief twists the Bible and they routinely attack the person to avoid having to prove from the Bible something that they just cannot do, they use windy words, they state their opinions as facts, and then it's back to the mystery and how one shouldn't question God, etc.
It's basically like when a person tells a lie to cover up the truth, they have to keep telling more and more lies in order to keep the first lie going, on and on it goes but nothing ever adds up. That's what false religions beliefs do regarding Bible truths. It gets to the point where human logic is disregarded completely and God is made into an unreasoning animal of sorts....This is due to the one who is behind all the false beliefs in this world today, and that is Satan the Devil. Satan's religions teach the complete opposite of what Jehovah teaches us in the Bible.
If Jehovah says it's this way, Satan tells people it's another way.
Let's examine what reflects God and what reflects Satan from the Bible's standpoint.
Satan says if people disobey God they will not die....he told Eve this. In fact he told her she would become like God. (Gen. 3:4,5 "At this the serpent said to the woman: “You certainly will not die. 5 For God knows that in the very day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and bad.”)
God said if Adam and Eve disobeyed and ate from the tree they would die (Gen. 2:17 "But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die.”)
Who was right, Satan or God? Fact: Adam and Eve died!
Satan says that when it comes to a man's life he'll do anything to save it, even if it means turning his back on God. (Job 2:4,5 "But Satan answered Jehovah: “Skin for skin. A man will give everything that he has for his life. 5 "......strike his bone and flesh, and he will surely curse you to your very face.")
What do we see today that corresponds with what Satan says but goes contrary to what the Bible says? Blood transfusions! If a person's life is at stake, will they "curse God to his very face" and accept it or will they obey God and abstain from blood (Acts 15:29 "to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from what is strangled, and from sexual immorality.")
They use word trickery and say, well it's only talking about animal blood, when you show that the Bible says "any sort of blood" (Lev 17:10) and also that it directly says abstain from blood, period, then they use more trickery and say eating blood is not the same as taking in a blood transfusion because it's not going into the digestive system, but going into the veins. Yet, when Acts 15:29 says abstain from blood, why does it also say abstain from what is strangled? Strangled animals have not been bled properly, so one would be eating the blood along with the flesh, yet we don't see just about eating animal meat along with blood, it specifically says abstain from blood and then it says abstain from what is strangled, along with some other things to abstain from. Why do you suppose blood was mentioned separate from what is strangled (animal blood) here? Because once again God's word shows that it encompasses ALL blood, be it human or animal.
That's like with the example of alcohol, if the doctor says abstain from alcohol or you will die, will you reason that you can inject it into your veins as long as you don't actually take it in through your mouth?
Or what about the flu shot, they have the injection form with a needle and the mist that is sprayed in the nose. Does it matter which form you get? If you don't get the injected form and get the mist spray form or vice versa does that mean you didn't really get the flu shot? Does it matter which of the two different ways it got into your system? No, the fact that it's in there is what matters. So regardless of how someone else's blood gets into your system, the fact that it's in your system means you are not abstaining from blood. It's inside of your body! How has a person obeyed God if this is the case. They have not!
Another example, pain medication. There are various ways you can relieve pain. You can take medicine by mouth, you can get a shot injected, or you can get a patch that you stick on your body. All these are ways to get the medicine into your body. Now what if the pain medicine is one that a person is allergic to. And the doctor says abstain from this certain pain medicine because you could die. Does that mean you can use the patch or the injection just as long as you don't take it in by mouth? Will the doctor agree to do that? Will he say well since you aren't taking it into your digestive system it's not really taking it in if it's an injection or patch? If he agrees he'd just committed murder! There is no way he'd agree with that....That doctor will say what don't you understand about the word abstain?
Does that remind you of anything? What did God tell Adam and Eve not to do? Eat from that one tree or they would die. And what did Satan come along and do? He said eat it, you will positively not die!
To take in another person's blood for your salvation is to deny the shed blood of Jesus for your salvation. You are in fact stating that you don't want Jesus' blood for salvation because you will use this other person's blood to save you.
Satan is all about confusion and disorder, this is what the false beliefs are all about. They are all over the place. If the Trinity teaches that the Father is not the Son, and the Son is not the Father, then how is it that Jesus who is the son = Jehovah who is God the Father? How can Jesus = Jehovah when the Father is not the Son and the Son is not the Father? Disorder and confusion at it's best. Contradiction within itself. A house divided will not stand Jesus said, we see this today. False religion will soon be done away with completely and forever!
God says, he is not a God of disorder (1 Cor. 14:33) and that there is only ONE Jehovah the Almighty God, and his Son Jesus is a total and complete separate being and is not Almighty God but his son. Which belief is confusing and of disorder? Satan's of course.
Satan's teachings are of disorder and confusion. God's is not, it's clear and reasonable!
Satan says the penalty for sin is hellfire, what does the Bible say the penalty for sin is?
Romans 6:23: “The wages sin pays is death.” It doesn't say the wages sin pays is everlasting life being burned forever. One doesn't get everlasting life by sinning against God. One gets death for sinning against God.
After one’s death, is he still subject to further punishment for his sins?
Romans 6:7: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”
So to say God goes back on what he had written in the Bible is calling God a liar. He said if you die, your sins are paid! So to torture you in hell forever and ever for sins you committed BEFORE you died is contrary to the Bible.
Is eternal torment of the wicked compatible with God’s personality? No! but it is with Satan and his false religious teachings!
Jer. 7:31: “They [apostate Judeans] have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.” (If it never came into God’s heart, surely he does not have and use such a thing on a larger scale.)
The real roots of these God-dishonoring doctrines go much deeper. The fiendish concepts associated with a hell of torment slander God and originate with the chief slanderer of God (the Devil, which name means “Slanderer”), the one whom Jesus Christ called “the father of the lie." (John 8:44)
Satan doesn't want people to know God's name Jehovah and is why he had his religions remove God's name from their Bibles when they were translated! But some translators, like Jehovah's Witnesses, refused to submit to Satan's rule.
Satan is laughing at all the people who he has successfully deceived because he does not care about any of Jehovah's creations and he wants to take as many as he can when he dies. So Satan is delighted when he can get people to believe his lies, especially when they make no sense whatsoever and they still accept it. Gullible and misguided people are who Satan preys on.
People who are not rightly disposed towards learning the truth about God are left in a state of spiritual darkness. Understanding the "sacred secret" is granted only by Jehovah.
So we can conclude that since Satan calls God a liar, then his religions and the ones who are apart of them will call God a liar as well. And they will not understand (Dan. 12:10)
