Jehovah`s Witness/You think you are so smart.
Don't you see how foolish you look when you attack Mr Holland? Don't you know the spirit of the forum is to answer questions. Why can't you answer questions from Mr Holland? Easter is the BIBLE. The Bible doesn't Lie or are you saying it does? Now ANSWER the question! Show us a Bible that doesn't use EASTER!!!!
To the contrary Jeff, I'm not smart, I just have the truth.
And you're the one who looks foolish, because you neither know the Bible nor understand what you're talking about. You should have stayed out of this. Now your showing your ignorance.
So why can't I answer Mr. Holland's questions? Well I just did! See this link below?
Check it out. I answered it - my way - not his way. I answered it TOPIC by topic so as not to confuse people like you. In fact if you happen to read it, maybe you can help your buddy prove me wrong. That his HELLFIRE is a not lie. That a loving and merciful God and his son Jesus Christ will forever torture and burn people alive in fiery place called HELLFIRE. Prove to all that this is not a lie, because like I said, it IS a BIG HUGE lie. Are you up to it?
Now, to your other questions:
>> Easter is the BIBLE. The Bible doesn't Lie or are you saying it does? Now ANSWER the question! Show us a Bible that doesn't use EASTER!!!!<<
It's so obvious you haven't look into this, but just repeating what you heard from Mr. Holland.
So, you asked, is Easter in the Bible? NO. Absolutely not. It was introduced by men who TRANSLATED the Bible from Greek to English.
It was a mistranslation of the word "pascha" / passover into Easter. Look it up if you really want to know the truth. Here's a link if you even care.
Next? Show you a Bible that doesn't use EASTER?
I don't want to bore you but here's just a few.
Translations for Act 12:4 - as PASSOVER / PASCH..
Need more - see link and do the search yourself.
Now, here's a good question for you:
If EASTER is the correct translation of the word PASCHA according to the KJV, then why did the NKJV translators changed it to PASSOVER?
"And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people."
"So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover."
Also, why did the many Bible Translation Organizations (see list above) used PASSOVER instead of EASTER?
So, does the Bible LIE or am I saying it?
The simple and correct answer to your question is: God's Word is INFALLIBLE and IT CANNOT LIE!
Since Jehovah God is The Living God and CANNOT LIE, thus His words, ALL OF THEM are TRUE! What He says will happen, 100% guaranteed!!!!!!
And since those who wrote the Bible were "INSPIRED" or guided by God's holy spirit, thus what they WROTE, what the penned was 100% trustworthy - error free. Hence the COMPLETED letters / books - The Bible - that they wrote IS truly the Word of God!
But, what about those who TRANSLATED it into other languages (after the Bible was completed)? Can we say the same?
That is, were they "INSPIRED" by God?
For example, were the 40+ translators of the KJV Bible "INSPIRED" by God? Were they guided by God when they translated it into English?
If not, are they not then capable of MAKING a mistake in their translation?
For instance, is the KJB / KJV 100% correct, free of any errors, contained no mistakes whatsoever?
Like EASTER (instead of PASSOVER)? What do you think?
Do only bad sinners, wicked people go to hell?
If so, why then did Jonah went to hell according to the KJV?
[Jon 2:2 KJV] 2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, [and] thou heardest my voice."
Why did Jesus went to hell according to your KJV?
[Act 2:31 KJV] 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
Was this a mistake in translation or not?
