Jehovah`s Witness/You're gonna love this!
Eddie, you can't believe the bible twisting my Baptist Co Worker engaged in the other day. I asked you believe in the literal translation of the Bible, right? YES, he said. Then I asked what IS HELL? He said a place of eternal punishment! Nobody comes out of hell right? He says no! Then I quote "[Jon 2:2 KJV] 2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, [and] thou heardest my voice." Was Jonah in a literal hell? The bibles says so. He says I was the one twisting the bible. I said no, I am using a literal translation and you are the one claiming the scripture is twisted! Anyways, Jonah escaped this eternal place of torment of hell as the fish vomited him out onto the shore!
This dude is delusional. Why do ALL Baptists claim their doctrine is Superior to God's Word, then claim the Word of God is twisted because it goes against their own doctrine of hell?? This dude is really brainwashed and clueless, he denies the account about Jonah because his own King James Translaors inserted the word "hell".
(sorry been so busy)
Thanks for writing again.
Exactly. Baptist believe in a literal hell, hence when it comes to the Bible they get into so much trouble trying to explain things that contradict their doctrine.
Perfect example is Jonah.
As you quoted in their Bible:
"[Jon 2:2 KJV] 2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, [and] thou heardest my voice."
Followed with your logical question:
Was Jonah in a literal hell?
They can't really answer this unless they go contrary to what they believe about the literalness of Hell in the Bible.
Because if they admit that Hell is a literal place, then what was Jonah doing in there?
Who sent him there?
It goes contrary to their belief that "ONLY BAD PEOPLE"(in God's eyes) go there.
Furthermore, it makes a mockery of God's justice as "GOOD PEOPLE" (like Jonah) goes in there.
Not only that, even Jesus Christ was sent to Hell according to the KJV.
Notice what their Bible says.
The KJV says:
[Act 2:27, 31 KJV] 27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell , neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. ... 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell , neither his flesh did see corruption."
Now if Hell is a literal place, what was Jesus doing in there?
Furthermore, who sent him there?
Why would a loving and merciful God send Jonah and Jesus to Hell, if hell is a place of torture and punishment for the wicked?
What was Jesus doing in hell if he never committed any sin? Why be in hell if it's reserved for the wicked, for those who are condemned?
Now you have noticed, Baptist and Trinitarians are in a tizzy as they launch their attacks upon us. But do you know what's missing from their attacks?
No reply to the questions we've posted about their precious Hellfire.
No answer about Jonah being in hell or Jesus being in hell or for that matter these questions about the justification of hell:
Whose idea is it to say that "Hell IS a just punishment for those who mock and reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ." ?
Yours Mr. Holland or the Lord Jesus Christ?
Whose words are these: "Hell ... a just punishment for those who mock and reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ." ?
The Lord Christ Jesus or yours Mr. Holland?
And if Hell /Eternal Hellfire is the penalty for the "unrightheous" "unforgiven", why did the Scripture say this then?
“For the wages sin pays is death,... (Romans 6:23)
“Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so also the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul who sins is the one who will die.”? (Ezekiel 18:4)
If the "soul" dies, what is being tortured, punished for all eternity?
Really interesting when you shine a divine light to their horrendous hellfire doctrine, the fire goes away and it becomes as it was, it becomes as it is until it's done away with - The Common Grave of mankind.
Write again Richard.
