About Brenda Martin
Expertise
I have been one of Jehovah`s Witneses now for over 30 years, in those years I have brought up 4 children, teaching each of them the bible.Being one of Jehovah`s Witnesses has helped me cope with my Epilepsy and bring up a daughter with learning difficulties.I have conducted bible studies with people from nearly every denomination i.e. Muslim. Having used the bible all these years to answer peoples questions, I feel I am qualified to give any answer regarding Jehovah`s Witnesses and the bible.

Experience
My experience has been one of attending bible lectures 5 times a week, taking part in these lectures in front of an audience and being with thousands of J.W. at conventions where I have seen the bible at work in peoples lives. It is truly a miracle when you see thousands of people meeting together and not one policeman needed, and not even a piece of litter in sight. It is like another world.

Jehovah`s Witness - Eternal/ From time indefinite: Father/Jesus (4)??

Question
I will tell you just a bit about me.
I never was a Jehovah Witness. I am considering becoming one but there have been many unanswered questions. That is the reason why I'm here looking to you. I was never an active church member. I grew up without doctrinal influence. 2yrs ago I found myself with a very strong desire to look for GOD. And then that's when I opened my eyes and heart to the word. But I also became vulnerable. Confusion kicks in, and I humbled myself to GOD (Mat 18:3) as a confused child in need of his guidance, spiritual food.  Why so much religion, why so many points of view. For 10 days I prayed and read the bible. I was not able to eat. My body did not desire the food. During the 10 days, I was unable to sleep and I did not eat. But then again I did not feel weakened and losing over 20lbs. I had put all my trust in the WORD of God and none else. It was like the WORD of God penetrating me like a two-edged sword; it hurts because it had opened my eyes. How could I been blinded for so many years. I came to realize the reason why I was blinded is because I was living under a curse. Considering, without the teachings of Jehovah witnesses. To their amazement I was able to show them in a form of a graph the order of events that has guided me to the cleansing of the Earth not destruction. Many other things I was in agreement with the Jehovah Witness. Without no commentators, no encyclopedia, no book of knowledge no publications. But at the other end I find 1914 to be VERY disturbing and many other things is questionable. Especially how the power of GOD works (Holy Spirit). I have noticed, Jehovah Witnesses are confusing what is part of human nature (spirits that is common to all men) with the strength of the holy spirit stating that it takes time to develop in oneself. But the bible teaches me that the holy spirit coming from God is an instant manifestation. Not in our own power. We are influenced by the word of God. And that influence gives us the desire to continue within our own strength to find the truth, Not to be confused with the power of GOD. Within our own spirit we make many mistakes, we stumble. But with God's Spirit is instant manifestation, Truth no mistakes. A new teaching of the word that I am truly in disagreement. Is that one of my closes adorable Jehovah Witness, I have so much respect for her. She states: subject about the resurrected one, look at Romans 6:7. Helps us see Jehovah is not going to judge us in our past sins, But we can learn from them.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I told her not to confuse the death inherit by Adam and Eve with the death in baptizing. We are going to be judge by our own sins not the sin of Adam and Eve. It is like giving the sinner the wrong signal: Might as well tell the sinner that it is okay for you to continue on sinning cause you already payed for your sin with your death. You have a second chance after the resurrection to learn from your mistakes.)) That is very wrong and it is the most recent teaching in the congregation. I am not trying to batch Jehovah Witness. I'm trying to find someone that could answer my questions. I'm not a Jehovah Witness. But many of them tell me that I should be one cause of the way I bought forth the word that validates their teachings. But I refuse cause of what I see. Witnesses are restricted to the teachings of the governing body. Me at the other hand am open to put myself in someone else shoes to listen and understand. Everything is made valuable to me; I'm not restricted to a governing body.
I hope this gives you a better understanding of the purpose of all these questions.
V/R Luis

Answer
"HOW COULD I BEEN BLINDED FOR SO MANY YEARS?"

No “curse” simply--Satan has blinded the minds of people. Consequently, they understood little or nothing about the true God. (2 Cor. 4:4)

"I FIND 1914 TO BE VERY DISTURBING"

It is not a date JW’s picked out of a hat; the date is arrived at by bible chronology.

"ROMANS 6:7. JEHOVAH IS NOT GOING TO JUDGE US FOR OUR PAST SINS"

That’s correct, those resurrected will not be judged on the basis of the works done in their former life, because the rule at Romans 6:7 says: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”

"MIGHT AS WELL TELL THE SINNER THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO CONTINUE ON SINNING CAUSE YOU ALREADY PAYED FOR YOUR SIN WITH YOUR DEATH.YOU HAVE A SECOND CHANCE AFTER THE RESURRECTION TO LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES.)) THAT IS VERY WRONG."

You are forgetting one small thing; what if the person doesn’t die before God’s steps in (armageddon) they are still alive when that day comes, so if they are sinning, they will be destroyed with no hope of a resurrection.

It is only those who have died BEFORE Armageddon that have the opportunity of a resurrection, they have been acquitted of their sin when they died, they will start life again with a clean slate, however if they decide they don’t want to live by God’s laws, they will be destroyed there and then forever.

When we call at peoples homes it is with the purpose of starting a bible study with them, so that they can stop sinning and make the needed changes to their lives, we would never tell them to “continue on sinning” as if it didn’t matter, their everlasting life depends on them stopping sinning.

"IT IS THE MOST RECENT TEACHING IN THE CONGREGATION."

It is not a “recent teaching” this has always been taught.

"WITNESSES ARE RESTRICTED TO THE TEACHINGS OF THE GOVERNING BODY. ME ON THE OTHER HAND AM OPEN TO PUT MYSELF IN SOMEONE ELSE SHOES TO LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND."

Which way does Jehovah approve of, that is the question; you see God says he is teaching his people today through what the bible calls; the “faithfull and discreet slave class” God is using this channel to feed his people spiritually, so if we choose to ignore what the “governing body “ or slave class say, then we are choosing to ignore Jehovah and his means of communication.

As JW’s look to the future, they are confident that Jehovah will care for the spiritual and material needs of his people. He and his Son, Jesus Christ, will continue to provide the heavenly direction and support needed to complete the Kingdom-preaching work by means of this “governing body”

Thanks for giving me some insight into the reason for your questions.

All the best
Brenda
