Jehovah`s Witness - The Faithful & Discreet Slave

Expert: John Bergman - 4/17/2006

Question
Hi John,

Is it true that Jesus selected the governing body of the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society as his "faithful and disceet slave" in 1918?

If so, what is the proof that this took place?

Thanks very much, it's great to be able to ask an expert.

Answer
Dear Nathan:

It's parially true that Jesus selected the Governing Body to be his Faithful and Discreet Slave.  Jehovah God, his father, also had a hand in it as well.

ALso, it was before 1918 when this happen, it started with the people were around Charles Russell when the preaching work needed to be organized.

If you ahve any more questions, please feel free to ask and I apologize for the lateness of my response.

Thanks
JOHN
