Question What are the views of Jehovah's Witnesses on fertility treatment eg IVF?
Answer Dear Isobel:
Involving IVF, there is nothing immoral about it, because, as you may know, involves removing the eggs from the woman's ovaries and fertlizing them outside and then to be put back into the uterus through the cervix. It has to be fertilized however with the HUSBAND's Sperm, for it would be honorable within the marriage arrangement.
However, such things as surrogate motherhood for example, would not be proper.
