Dear Nathan:

You stated that the Governing Body was selected as the Faithful and Discreet Slave starting with C.Russell.
Could you please tell me what scripture(s) are used to substantiate this? Thanks

Answer -
Dear Paul:

That would be Luke 12: 41-47, where it tells of Jesus asking of who will be the faithful and discrete slave who will give the proper food at the time (spiritual food).  The Faithful and discrete slave are also part of the anointed which are described as being of 144,000 total in Revelation.  The anointed includes the apostles of Jesus and the people who were giving holy spirit during the time of Pentecost.

I hope this answers your question.  If you want any more information, please feel free to ask me or you can go to the official Jehovah's WItnesses' website:  www.watchtower.org

Thanks and Peace
JOHN

HI John, How would someone find out if they are one of the slave class and how did C.Russell find out he was a part of this class
Does this mean that spiritual food is the truth and  comes from God ? Would God allow anything other than the truth?
Thanks

Answer
Dear Paul:

Their is a difference between the anointed and the faithful and discrete slace class.  Even though all of the people are all anointed, the faithful and discrete slave are the one directing the preaching work and the helping of the distrubution of Bibles and pamphlets, missionary work, etc.

I think Mr. Russell felt a direct spiritual connection with Jehovah God, as all of the 144,000 of the anointed do.

God does not allow anything other than truth.  He is a God that does not lie and would not lie.  Spiritual information of the highest order comes from Jehovah.

Thanks
JOHN
