Question According to Matthew 24:14 The news of God's kingdom should be preached in all the nations on earth? But Paul wrote that "all creation" was given this message. Colossians 1:23 Why didn't the "end" come as it was explained?
Answer Hello Darryl,
Thank you for your question and will try to give a satisfactory answer to it for you.Yes Jesus says at Matthew 24:14 that the end will come after the whole inhabited earth
got the message of the good news about God's Kingdom during a period that Jesus marked at the conclusion of this system of things as one of the signs the end was near.Jesus said that not until all the signs were present in this generation
were here then the end will come. That generation is now that we are living in,all the signs are evident since 1914 til the present time. But the major point that Jesus made when explaining these things was that not he or anyone else knew exactly when the end would take place only his Father in heaven knows. So we are all on Jehovah God's timetable as to when it will end.As to what apostle Paul meant was the message was was given to all creation during his time and travels but not the whole inhabited earth,as it has taken all this time to finally reach the whole world now in our time.Jehovah has allowed all this time to pass to give all the earth's population a chance to hear the good news and Peter wrote that a one day is as a thousand to Jehovah and He is not slow respecting His promise but wishes none to be destroyed but wishes all to attain to repentance. If He had not allowed this time to pass we all wouldn't be here today talking about it.When Jehovah says enough is enough then it will be.It is His call and His call alone.
