Answer Hello Ivory,
Thank you for your questions.
1. What are the important holidays and traditions within your religion? Well there is only one that God approves of and that is the marriage arrangement because He is the one who instituted it.So we all celebrate anniverseries in a
spiritual way that God approves of.All other holidays have one form or another of pagan rooted traditions so they are not approved by God or Christ. For example Christmas is celebrated as the birth of Jesus but he was not born on that date but was added to a Roman pagan holiday to coincide with each other,so this and other factors rule out that Jesus was not born at that time and this would mean you were celebrating a fabrication,or in another word a lie
and we all know the father of the lie is Satan the Devil,so
he is the one you are pleasing when celebrating holidays that are not approved by God and Christ. All celebrations have some sort of revelery involved in it that the Bible says is a work of the flesh and will not inherit God's Kingdom.
2. How has your religion shaped your life?
It has made drastic changes in my life as well as all others that who are one of Jehovah's Witnesses in our lives. It has taught us how God wants us to live our lives
and what is required of us to do His will so we can recieve His many rich blessings He has promised including the grandest one of all which is everlasting life on a paradise earth.
3. What are the challenges, if any, to practicing your religion? There are many challeges to being a servant of God
because the world we live which the Bible says the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one(Satan)also says that the god of this system of things is Satan. This means that we are constantly being attacked by all his crafty works or machinations of the Devil. This includes
persecution,torture,imprisonment,ridicule,execution,etc.
because of who we are and what we do.
4. Why would I want to convert to your religion? Because you would be pleasing the only true God who created the heavens and earth and all the things in them,Jehovah. You also would become a part of a universal brotherhood of seven million others with the same love for each other no matter what race, nationality, etc.with the same mindset as we are all one together in unity with no divisions. The Bible says that God does not want to destroy anybody but wants all to attain to repentance and live forever on the new earth under the new heavens.
5. What is the difference between Jehovah and Christianity?
Jehovah's Witnesses are true Christians as they were back in Jesus's day with his disciples and apostles.Jesus was called the faithful and true witness and we are footstep followers of Jesus being his only true disciples on earth today that obey his every command.Jesus said you will know who his true disciples would be if they have love among theirselves, which includes loving their neighbor as well as their enemies and being peaceble with all men.
6. If your religion is the utmost, why is your religion so pushy to make someone believe? Shouldn't it be self-explainatory? We are not pushy in any regard but persistent
in our preaching and teaching because of our love for our neighbor to bring them the good news of God's Kingdom that also is a warning to them and because we care so much we cannot let up until God says it is enough.
7. What made you stay with your religion even after you turned of age versus any other? Because I knew it was the truth from a young age and never forgot that and also new what other religions taught that we not the truth from what the Bible said on matters such as the trinity, immortal soul
and eternal torment in hellfire, all which didn't make sense
to me even at an early age. These are all false teachings you
will fing all other so called Christian religions teaching.
These and other false teachings infiltrated what was then the true Christian congregation during the great apostasy
foretold whould happen after the last apostle died called the weeds in amongst the wheat. These weeds are an impostor
who have misled many into believing their false teachings.
8. How would you feel if your children decided to choose another religion? Well this happens as a child will make up his or her own mind when of age and what the learned has really penetrated their hearts or not.If the parents have brought them up in a Christian home under the mental regulating of Jehovah's discipline have a much better chance of sticking with it when they get older but there is no guarantee because we are all imperfect and have free will
in making our mind up what we want to do.I only hope that all my children will be servants of Jehovah before it's too late.I have one who is dedicated and baptized and one that is studying the Bible now with the others out in the world.
As far as them turning to another religion happened when my wife divorced me as she controlled that situation. But now after five years my ex wife is back in the truth after apostating herself becoming a Catholic, and none of our children are involved with any other religion.
There is a simple way to tell if your religion is the only true one,and that is by examining it and doing a little research, but a simplest way to tell is if there is any false
teachings being done there as I mentioned above, and it only needs to be only one of those and you must throw the whole thing out as the saying goes,a little leaven spoils the whole lump, and leaven is sin.I have some very informative
articles on this subject that explains true relgion, true Christianity, etc.that I will send you if you reply back again,so hope to hear from you again. Janko
