Question I encountered lovely people, harriet and rodger here in bedford, who were teahing me the bible, i loved every study, but i met my neighbour a wittness since the ,50s and hoped we would be friends, but then he paid for two abortions for his daughter, let his son live with them in the same house without being married and also worked while claming income support. It totally destoyed my faith in your teaching and to say goodbye to harriet and rodger broke my heart. does anyone tell the truth? teresa bedford

It sounds like to me that this gentlemen is either lying to you about being a Witness and dosen't want you to associate with Harriet and Rodger or, sadly, he is one, and is basically being a hyprocrite.
I don't know about the situation from what you wrote invovling his son. Did this mean that he let his son and his girlfriend live in the same house? But, involving the other two you have told of, be assured that they are NOT ACCEPTABLE with JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES. Maybe that person has been disfellowshipped.
As for your study, please DO NOT GIVE UP. If you have enjoyed the study, please, by all means, continue on with it. Probably, those two who studied with you do not know of this person and, if they did, they would CERTAINTLY NOT CONDONE what this person has done or is doing.
