No deception. Isaiah was written in Hebrew. Lucifer comes from the Latin... a note that is actually referenced in the footnotes of the New World Translation Reference Bible for Isa. 14:12.

Yes, I am so sick of people accusing Jehovah's Witnesses of this and that, just about everything under the sun. I may not be a Jehovah's Witness, but I know a lot of them. My wife is a Jehovah's Witness, and has been for quite some time. One thing about me, I enjoy doing my homework (researching# scriptures. Witnesses taught me that. Accurate knowledge shouldn't be substituted in favor of tradition. Word/names like Lucifer, describing Satan, comes from the Latin. Tell me, why would the Hebrews #Jews# have created and used such a word or name to describe Satan. Besides, there are many translations that #as you say it) removed Lucifer, not only from this verse, but from the Bible itself. Because they have at least come to realize Lucifer was never in the scriptures in the first place. I agree, take a chance, do some research on your own. Stop listening solely to those just as lost as you are!
