About Brenda Martin
Expertise
I have been one of Jehovah`s Witneses now for over 30 years, in those years I have brought up 4 children, teaching each of them the bible.Being one of Jehovah`s Witnesses has helped me cope with my Epilepsy and bring up a daughter with learning difficulties.I have conducted bible studies with people from nearly every denomination i.e. Muslim. Having used the bible all these years to answer peoples questions, I feel I am qualified to give any answer regarding Jehovah`s Witnesses and the bible.

Experience
My experience has been one of attending bible lectures 5 times a week, taking part in these lectures in front of an audience and being with thousands of J.W. at conventions where I have seen the bible at work in peoples lives. It is truly a miracle when you see thousands of people meeting together and not one policeman needed, and not even a piece of litter in sight. It is like another world.

Question
Goodmorning,
Looking at Matthews(NWT)19:28 Jesus said to them:"Truly I say to you, In the re-creation, when the Son of man sits down upon his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also yourselves sit upon twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Isreal.
John 5:28-30 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement. I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative; just as I hear, I judge; and the judgement that I render is righteous... Romans14:10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you also look down on your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgement seat of God. Matt25:31-46. Judgement and seperation. 2Corithians5:10,21 For we must all be made manifest before the judgement seat of the Christ, that each one may get his award for the things done through the body, according to the THINGS THAT HE HAS PRACTICED, whether it is good or vile. The one who did not know sin he made to be sin for us, that we might BECOME God's righteousness by means of HIM. Romans 6:1-2 Consequently, what shall we say? Shall we CONTINUE in SIN, that underserved kindness may abound? Never may that happen! Seeing that we died in reference to sin, HOW SHALL WE KEEP ON LIVING ANY LONGER IN IT?

I do understand that the price of sin is death. Death inherit thru Adam. But life thru the second Adam.
Q1.But why is there judgement after resurrection that each one may get his award for the things done through the body, according to the THINGS THAT HE HAS PRACTICED? Are these the people that continue on to practice sin, things done through the body that he has practiced? Cause the word does show ability to sin after the fact: Shall we CONTINUE in SIN, that underserved kindness may abound? Never may that happen! Seeing that we died in reference to sin, HOW SHALL WE KEEP ON LIVING ANY LONGER IN IT?

Can you pls clarify some more in regards with the verses mentioned.
Thanks,
Luis

Thank you so much for your time and patience.  At this very moment I'm working on a project related to work. You have done a better job explaining your views on sin then many other witnesses. Within the next couple of days I will closely examine your views with the scriptures and will get back with you for more clarification if needed. again thank you for your time. One topic at a time, right? :)

Question -
Let us look at Romans6:7 For he who has died has been acquitted from his [his] sin.
Now lets look at the whole picture: Romans 6:3-5
Do you know that all of us who were BAPTIZED into Christ Jesus were baptized into his DEATH? THEREFORE we were BURIED with him through our baptism into his DEATH...so that we should no longer GO ON BEING SLAVES OF SIN. For he who has DIED has been acquitted from his sin.
please answer these 2 questions:
Q-1 When we BAPTIZE in Christ are we burying our sins into his DEATH so we no longer be slaves of sin?
Q-2 IF we baptized in Christ have we been acquitted from our sins?

Thanks
I appreciate your time.

Answer
"MATTHEW 19:28"

Time frame—during Christ’s 1,000 year reign.

I think your point all hinges on the word “judge” ; , the possibility of a judgment that is NOT condemnatory is apparent from 2 Corinthians 5:10. About those manifest before the judgment seat it says: “Each one [will] get his award . . . according to the things he has practiced, whether it is good or vile.”

Also ; in describing what will take place on earth during the time of judgment, Revelation 20:12 says that the resurrected dead will then be “judged out of those things written in the SCROLLS according to their deeds.” Those resurrected will not be judged on the basis of the works done in their former life, it says they will be judged from these new scrolls that are opened.

What are the “scrolls” that are opened from which “the dead” as well as “the living” are judged? Evidently they will be something in addition to our present Holy Bible. They are inspired writings or books that contain Jehovah’s laws and instructions. By reading these all people on earth will be able to know God’s will. Then, on the basis of the laws and instructions in these “scrolls,” everyone on earth will be judged. Those who obey the things written therein will receive the benefits of Christ’s ransom sacrifice, and they will gradually grow to human perfection.

"JOHN 5:28-30"

During Jesus 1,000 year reign.

What Jesus said here must be understood in the light of the later revelation that he gave to John. (Revelation 20:12, 13.) Both those who formerly did good things and those who formerly practiced bad things will be “judged individually according to their deeds.

It would be unreasonable to resurrect people simply for them to be destroyed. So, at John 5:28, 29a, Jesus was pointing ahead to the resurrection; then, in the remainder of verse 29, he was expressing the outcome after they had been uplifted to human perfection and been put on judgment.

The resurrected dead are judged on the basis of what they do during Judgment Day. So when Jesus mentioned “those who did good things” and “those who practiced vile things,” he was referring to the good things and bad things that they would do during Judgment Day. Because of the good things they do, many of those resurrected will progress to human perfection by the end of the 1,000-year Judgment Day. Thus their return from the dead will prove to be a “resurrection of life,” for they will attain to perfect life without sin.

On the other hand, for those ‘who practiced vile or bad things’ during Judgment Day, their return from the dead will prove to be a “resurrection of judgment.”  It means a judgment or condemnation to death. So these persons will be destroyed either during or by the close of Judgment Day. The reason is that they do bad things; they stubbornly refuse to learn and practice righteousness.

"ROMANS 14:10"

Again this happens during Christ’s reign.

Yes, Armageddon survivors and those who are resurrected, will stand before the “judgement seat” of God, DURING the 1,000 year reign, we will all be judged on what we do during that 1,000 years.

"MATT 25:31-46."

At Armageddon.

Judgment executed on the goats! “Then he will say, in turn, to those on his left, ‘Be on your way from me, you who have been cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.

Bible students know that this cannot mean that immortal souls of goatlike ones will suffer in an eternal fire. No, for humans are souls; they do not possess immortal souls. (Genesis 2:7; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10; Ezekiel 18:4) By sentencing the goats to “everlasting fire,” the Judge means destruction devoid of a future hope, which will also be the permanent end for the Devil and his demons. (Revelation 20:10, 14) Hence, Jehovah’s Judge sets out opposites. He tells the sheep, “Come”; the goats, “Be on your way from me.” The sheep will inherit “everlasting life.” The goats will receive “everlasting cutting-off.”—Matthew 25:46.

The time when Jesus will pronounce final judgment on the sheep and the goats depicted in the parable is yet ahead. When the Son of man comes in the role of Judge, he will determine that many true Christians—actually “a great crowd” of dedicated sheep—will qualify to pass through the final part of “the great tribulation” into the new world. That prospect should now be a source of joy. (Revelation 7:9, 14) On the other hand, vast numbers out of “all the nations” will have proved themselves to be like stubborn goats. They “will depart into everlasting cutting-off.” What a relief for the earth!

"2 CORITHIANS5:10,21"

v.10--Paul linked judgment with preaching when he wrote: “We must all be made manifest before the judgment seat of the Christ, that each one may get his award for the things done through the body, according to the things he has practiced, whether it is good or vile. Knowing, therefore, the fear of the Lord, we keep persuading men.” (2 Corinthians 5:10, 11) The apostle ‘kept persuading men’ by preaching the good news. What about us? Since we are facing the end of this wicked system of things, we should do our utmost to persuade others to take the steps needed to gain Jesus’ favorable judgment and the approval of the Source of salvation, Jehovah God.

v.21--All humans who exercise faith in the ransom can become reconciled to God. (John 3:36) Paul says: “The one [Jesus] who did not know sin he [Jehovah] made to be sin for us, that we might become God’s righteousness by means of him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21) The perfect man Jesus was the sin offering for all of Adam’s offspring who are delivered from inherent sinfulness.

"ROMANS 6:1-2"

Yes, God will take action against willful wrongdoers, just not at the time you think, he promises to resurrect “good and bad alike” they will both be allowed to live on paradise earth, IF they choose to live by God’s laws, those resurrected ones who don’t want to live according to God’s laws will be destroyed during the 1,000 year reign.

"WHY IS THERE JUDGEMENT AFTER RESURRECTION..ACCORDING TO THE THINGS THAT HE HAS PRACTICED? "

Yes “practiced” during the 1,000 year reign, not before death. To illustrate;; my mum recently died and she was not a worshipper of the true God, she will be resurrected nonetheless (acts 24;15) and given the opportunity to obey God’s laws in the “new earth” if she then chooses to go her own way, she will be destroyed forever, that’s judgement enough, is it not?
