Jewel's last name is Kilcher. She has no middle name.
And she was born in May 23, 1974.
She decided to leave home at age 17, and recorded her first album at age 19. She often played at Coffeehouses, not at night clubs. It took her about 2 years singing and writing her stuff before someone from Atlantic Records finally notice her, while she was playing at the Innerchange Coffeehouse, in San Diego.
