Jewelry, Gems, & Minerals - Disney Ring

Expert: Lisa Brooks-Pike - 6/11/2008

Question
I have a ring from Disney. It has a head in the shape of mickey mouse.its just 3 circles one for the face and 2 for the ears. there are diamonds in the 3 circles.inside the ring it says disney then it has the numbers 10 925 stamped in it.what do those numbers mean? the ring is either sterling silver or whote gold. im not sure if the diamonds are real.it passes the fog test and the diamonds are not enclosed underneath.

Answer
Hi Bobby,

925 is usually sterling.  Not sure what the 10 is for as I don't have the benefit of seeing the mark.

I am not sure what the fog test is, but your local jeweler should have an electronic diamond tester that can tell you if they are diamonds in a matter of moments.

Lisa
