Hi Peter,

I'm really interested in starting my own jewelry line. Some pieces will be hand made, and I guess I'll creativly put others together. How would I be able to contact buyers of certain stores like Macy's for example, to start selling my jewelry? I also wanted to know, how would I get a manufacturing company to make my jewelry in bulks?

LOTS OF PHONE CALLS AND SHOE LEATHER WILL GET YOU SOME CONTACTS. DO JEWELRY SHOWS WHERE BUYERS GO TO BUY FOR DIFFERENT SEASONS. MAKE A PLAN AND STICK TO IT. MANUFACTURERS ATTEND AND HAVE THEIR OWN SHOWS AS WELL AND YOU CAN CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY. THE BEST DEALS ARE IN ASIA OR CHINA. YOU WOULD NEED TO INVEST A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY TO MAKE A SUCCESS OF IT. DO ALL YOU CAN THAT DIRECTLY INVOLVES THE JEWELRY BUSINESS. WORK IN A JEWELRY STORE, TALK TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW OR FOR THAT MATTER DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU LINE AND DESIGNS.
