Question What is the value of flourite and is it pawnable to a pawnshop? Also I bought this other crystal for $125 it's cream colored on the bottom and tge top is covered in orange crystals. Do you know what the mineral or crystal is and do you think it's pawnable for a good price?
Answer HI CAOLEAN,
FLOURITE IN GENERAL IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO PAWNSHOPS. BUT I'M SURE THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS. THERE ARE PROBABLY PAWNSHOPS THAT ACCEPT MINERAL SAMPLES FOR PAWN IN AREAS THAT ARE LIKE TUCSON AZ. WHAT IT MAY BE WORTH TO A PAWNBROKER IS ANYONES GUESS. BUT IF YOU PAID $125 FOR IT I WOULD ONLY EXPECT ABOUT 10% OF ITS VALUE FOR PAWN. WITHOUT SEEING THE MATERIAL IN PERSON I CANNOT GIVE YOU A REAL IDEA OF ITS VALUE. CALL AROUND AND SEE IF ANY PAWNSHOPS IN YOUR AREA ACCEPT MINERAL SPECIMENS FOR PAWN. GOOD LUCK
PETER
