Jewelry, Gems, & Minerals/Antique 14k ring, Maker's Mark question

Dan333 wrote at 2016-03-18 12:12:45
I just bought a men's 14k gold white band w/4 diamonds .50ct total wt. and it also says "Cardinal 14k" but it was sold as new.  Upon receiving it, it's obvious it's not new since even though it's been polished I can see polished scratch marks on the gold.  The diamonds are very good quality and very white.  I'm wondering if there's a possibility that this ring also came from the same manufacturer as detailed above or are there more than one manufacturer with the stamp of "Cardinal"
