Question
Hi, for the past two years I have been makinig rings, pendants and broaches out of old broken plates by surrounding with copper foil and soldering around etc now I'm wanting to take the next step forward by using silver.  Does electroplating work or electroless silver plating? or do I need to use the strips of silver etc?  If this is the case how do I go about surrounding squares etc with folds on the corners etc.

Answer
Hi Varley,

The type of jewelry you are making requires the same method you are using with the cooper foil, there is silver foil too and should not be a problem to achieve your goal.
Electroplating will also work and you will have the same results.

Hope it helps.
