I followed your answer regarding the snap set and went to the suggested sources but no one seems to have just the plain snap set all that are listed are for earrings or pendents. Do you have any other sources since I see you have a picture of exactly what i need on web site.
Answer Hello Laurel.
tell me what exactly it is you want and perhaps I can give you a better answer. I know one of the cheapest sources for small quantities of snap-tite settings on the web is an Ebay seller called "Erika's Delights".Other than that query google with "snap-tite " or " snap tite settings" and perhaps do an advanced search in which you define the terms of the search to include what it is you want and exclude those words you don't want like earrings. There are many many vendors that sell these easy to use settings in a variety of metals, so be sure to add in the metal you seek in the search as well as the size to get to a list of sellers that has what you want, and narrows down the field of hundreds to a smaller group.
You can always clip off earring backs or pendant bails and add the clippings to your refining lot to get your money back from the precious metals when you send in your scrap to a refinery annually or as often as you regularly do refining business. That way you can get the settings you want in the sizes you need, and just modify them to your purposes. If you have a rolling mill you can always just melt down the scrap and roll out your own wire or sheet to make jewelry from saving you money in the long run as the die struck snap-tites are relatively high priced given their precious metal content.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,Ari
