Jewish Food/latkes

Question
I'm planning to make traditional latkes with sour cream for brunch next week for my brother and his spouse. What would be a good side dish or two for this? Thanks.

Answer

Hi David,

Apple sauce and/ or sour cream are traditional toppings for latkes, because (at least in my home) latkes themselves were the side dish. If you'll be serving the latkes as a main course, matzo ball soup with a nice green salad could be the complete meal.

I hope I've been a help.
