Question Hello. Is it ok to have dairy right before before meat? Such as a shake right before a hambuger? I am not kosher but my boyfriend is and we were just wondering
-Sara
Answer *After eating dairy and before eating meat, it is necessary to eat something pareve, which does not stick to the palate. Then one must rinse one's mouth, or take a drink, and wash one's hands. It is common practice to wait at least a half hour between dairy and meat. After eating certain hard cheeses, a six-hour waiting period is required.

So the rules of dairy and meat probably still apply as if you were eating it. To me, i like a good milkshake with my cheeseburger, but i'm not Jewish, so i think that sucks for you if you are. Or how about spaghetti with monzarella, or how about Meat Lovers pizza, which contains nothing but meat and cheese, which i like Meat Lovers Supreme.
If you ask me, its all screwed up. Think about it, cow is considered kosher, so therefore shouldn't milk and beef be considered kosher, so why does combinding the two make it unkosher. Just because milk is not meat. To me, your eating cow with cow. And what does waiting like 30 minutes do. The meat and dairy will still be in your system rather you eat them apart or together. I can understand separating kosher from non-kosher, but not kosher from kosher. How is it that combinding kosher with kosher make it unkosher.
