Question Are you sure about tuna having scales? I was told years ago to eat salmon not tuna because tuna had skin and therefore absorbed all the toxins like mercury from the water, whereas scales are a filter. This makes sense to me because it is well documented that people who eat tuna show evidence of high mercury levels in their blood.
Answer i believe tuna do have scales, they just don't have quite a whole lot of scales, and as long as you don't eat a lot of tuna, then you should be ok.
Salmon is ok for you, and yes tuna does contain mercury and it can probably kill you if you eat to much of it.
We eat tuna once an awhile, tuna salad, tuna and macaroni & cheese, or tuna & macaroni salad.
My mom sometimes makes Salmon patties, but i don't really like those, its to greasy and plus i don't really like seafood that much unless its shellfish.
